“Yes, sir,” the bodyguard replied, not daring to utter another word.
The female assistant, however, ventured a question. “Who upset you, Mr. Nash?”
The bodyguard, having learned his lesson, remained silent.
Yosef, already absorbed in his work, didn't respond. The woman had no choice but to drop the subject.

After the party ended, Winona linked arms with Henrietta. “I’ll give you a ride. There’s something we need to talk about.”
Charlotte, of course, joined them. The moment the three of them were in the car, Winona exploded. “Damn it, that bastard and that bitch deserve to die!”
Henrietta raised an eyebrow. Winona tossed her a small flash drive. “It’s on here.”
“You really got it on camera?” Henrietta asked.
“Yep,” Winona confirmed. “Just like you predicted! That Artina is a wild one.”
“She’s young, rebellious, and arrogant,” Henrietta said calmly. “And she didn't know who I was. It’s not surprising.”
Originally, Winona and Charlotte were supposed to go to the party with Henrietta. But Henrietta had instructed them to go ahead to the hotel and scout for any blind spots in the security cameras. If they found any, they were to plant their own.
So, the two of them had gone early with their security detail. They found a spot on the rooftop without any surveillance and planted a pinhole camera in a discreet corner of a storage room. It captured everything! Winona had only managed to watch a few seconds of the video; it was too repulsive to continue.
Charlotte took the drive. “They really hooked up right before the party started?” she asked, incredulous.
Winona nodded. “I saw a glimpse. It was so disgusting it turned my stomach!”
Henrietta’s gaze dropped. “If I cry,” she said softly, “it will be for myself.”
“You should have exposed him right there at the party!” Winona said, still fuming. “We already had the video. It would have been way more impactful than some text messages. And his trashy family wouldn't have been able to put on such a performance.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Henrietta said calmly. “It’s more fun to play a game of cat and mouse. Exposing him like that would be letting him off too easy. Given his personality and his family's, they'll do anything to get back with me for the money and status. If I crush his hopes too early, that wouldn’t be fair to him, would it? Since he wanted to scheme against me, I should have some fun with him. Let him think he has a chance, then let him fall into despair, and finally, watch him break. Isn’t that much more entertaining?”
Winona nodded. “You’re right. Just taking him down directly is too good for him!”
“And today wasn’t a loss,” Henrietta added. “He admitted in front of everyone that we were together for nearly five years. At least everyone in our circle knows now. That’s irrefutable proof.”
A small, tight smile formed on Henrietta’s lips.
Her relationship with Matteo had been a secret. Even though the invitations Matteo sent out were for their engagement, the guests didn’t even know who “Ms. Sargent” was until they arrived at the party.
