When Two Winters Met (Henrietta and Yosef) novel Chapter 94

As she said it, she realized how comical they must sound, discussing returns after the certificate was already in hand. But it didn't matter.

Yosef smiled faintly. "Alright," was all he said.

So she was really married to Yosef, just like that? Henrietta felt a little dizzy again. But now that the paperwork was done, what was next? They were still strangers.

"Are you... flying out now?" she asked, looking up at him.

He checked his watch. "Not right away. There's enough time. I'll take you home first."

"Oh, okay," she nodded.

Yosef glanced at Calvert. "Come and take my wife's bag."

Calvert stepped forward immediately, holding out his hands respectfully. "Ma'am."

Henrietta handed him her purse.

"Shall we?" Yosef offered his arm.

Henrietta looped her arm through his. As they walked, Yosef added to Calvert, "Add my wife's contact information later."

"Understood," Calvert confirmed.

Yosef then turned to Henrietta. "Calvert will send you the contacts for my other assistants later. Please add them all. If you can't reach me, you can contact them. You can also give them instructions directly if you need anything."

"Okay," she agreed.

In the car, they naturally sat together in the back, the proximity much closer than before. But they were still unfamiliar with each other, with no romantic feelings to bridge the gap. Henrietta tried to think of something to say, but her mind was blank.

Yosef spoke first. "Are you tired? Do you want to take a nap?"

It was after lunch, they'd had some wine, and the drive was two hours long. A nap was the perfect suggestion. Now that he mentioned it, she did feel a bit drowsy.

She turned to look at him. Up this close, she realized he was even more handsome, his features flawless.

"Okay," she nodded. "What about you?"

"Mr. Leland wants to see you. Shut up and come with us!" one of them barked.

Artina grabbed a bodyguard's arm. "Mr. Leland? Which Mr. Leland?"

He shoved her away. "If you don't know, you don't need to know. We're not here for you, so get lost!" He pushed her so hard she stumbled and fell.

The whole scene looked like a gang kidnapping in broad daylight. Matteo was terrified. The commotion drew the attention of the film crew, but no one dared to step in.

"Call Henrietta! Quick!" Matteo yelled.

Artina scrambled for her phone.

Someone from the crew ran to report the incident to Charlotte, the director. Even though it was the weekend, filming schedules were relentless, so Charlotte was on set.

After hearing that Joaquin was causing trouble, she remained perfectly calm, a smirk playing on her lips. "Don't worry about it. He won't die. At worst, his face will get messed up and we'll have to pause filming. Someone else will be paying for the delays anyway."

Let the dogs fight. She was happy to watch.
