Who Knew My Assigned Mechanic Husband Was a Big Shot? novel Chapter 43

As a result, she completely missed Logan, who was tucked away in a corner watching the live stream.

Unable to find him, Serena marched back into Zane's office.

"Zane, I couldn't find him anywhere."

Zane didn't even look up. "Told you. Nobody like that works here."

"But he was wearing your garage's uniform the other day! Did he quit? Or is he on leave? Zane, did any of your mechanics call out sick today? Could you check with HR?"

Zane wasn't about to humor her. "No!"

Realizing it was a dead end, Serena dropped the subject.

She sashayed over to Zane's desk, pulled two tickets from her designer bag, and asked eagerly, "Zane, have you ever been to that super viral escape room here in the city?"

"The one in The Uptown District?"

"Yeah."

"No."

"It's insanely popular! It has all these incredibly realistic horror scenarios. The sets are practically movie quality, and the scare actors are so intense that people literally almost pass out from fear. Tickets are basically impossible to get."

Zane was actually a bit intrigued.

But the idea of going with Serena completely killed the vibe.

Ignoring his silence, Serena slid the tickets onto his desk. "I managed to snag a time slot for The Obsidian Castle theme. You should totally come! It's an open group, so you can invite a friend. Or, if you can't find anyone, you can just come solo."

Without waiting for him to decline, she darted out of the office, calling back over her shoulder, "You have to come, Zane!"

Zane glanced at the tickets, fully intending to toss them into the trash.

But then he caught sight of Logan walking past the window.

He quickly grabbed the tickets and jogged out to intercept him.

"Here, man. Take these."

Logan took them, scanning the print. "The Labyrinth?"
