Naomi had no idea she had been sold out by her parents yet again.
After leaving the Gonzalez residence, she didn't know where to go. She wandered aimlessly out of the gated community and, before she knew it, found herself standing in front of her office building.
"Hey, Naomi, what are you doing here? Didn't you take the day off?"
Naomi forced a smile. "Everything's been taken care of, so I came in."
"Is it busy today?"
The person made a face. "Not busy, exactly, but we're stuck on a bug, and the boss isn't here. We're all stressing out."
Naomi thought for a moment. "How about I grab some iced coffee to help everyone cool down?"
The person smiled. "Sure, I'll go with you."
On the way, Naomi asked about the situation and learned that while designing a scene, the map would suddenly change, and a landmark would just disappear.
"It's like something out of a ghost story."
Once the topic was opened, the person started ranting freely. "I have no idea who designed this map."
Naomi suddenly remembered the unique world Lennon had described. He'd mentioned wanting to design a lot of hidden levels. Maybe this was one of them?
She shared her thought with her colleague.
The person was taken aback. "It could be?"
"But the boss never told us about it."
Naomi raised an eyebrow. "You never discussed it before?"
Her colleague gave her a meaningful look. "You probably don't know this, but before you joined, most of us had only ever seen the boss on video calls."
"Huh?"
Naomi was shocked. "What do you mean, you'd only seen him on video calls?"
"It's exactly what it sounds like. The boss set everything up for the studio, but he never actually came in."
"Our meetings were all video conferences. We only had time to discuss the most important things. Who had time to talk about minor bugs with the boss?"
Naomi thought that made a lot of sense.
"Then—"
Before she could finish her sentence, the door to Lennon's office opened from the inside, and Lennon himself strode out, dressed in a business suit.
Naomi's eyes widened.
Lennon?
She glanced out the window instinctively. It was dinnertime. What was he doing at the studio at this hour?
As her colleague handed out coffee, they said meaningfully, "Well, what a coincidence. You just got here, and now the boss shows up."
Naomi's heart skipped a beat.
An incredible thought popped into her mind: Did Lennon really come here for me?
"What are you spacing out for?"
