Who’s the Dog Now? novel Chapter 72

When their hands touched, Naomi felt a jolt, like an electric current, run through her body, leaving a tingling sensation.

“Are you okay?”

Lennon only let go once Naomi was steady on her feet.

The sudden absence of his warmth left a strange void in her palm, and a flicker of something went through her heart. Realizing she had nearly fallen into his arms, she blushed and couldn’t bring herself to look at him. “I’m fine, thank you… and about just now, I didn’t mean to…”

“It’s fine.”

His reply was brief. He took out his phone, and after a few taps, Naomi received the app’s installer.

Naomi used the task of installing the software to ease her embarrassment.

The app installed quickly, and after following the prompts to log in, it was ready to use.

She was amazed to see the campus map was even more detailed than the ones posted around the school—so detailed it even showed the number of trash cans along the paths. Her eyes widened. “A map this detailed exists?”

“What company made this? I’ve never heard of anything so clear.”

Lennon didn’t turn back, his pace slow and relaxed. “It’s not on the market.”

“Our studio developed it.”

Naomi gasped slightly, finding it hard to believe. “You mean Spenzalez Studios?”

“Yes. Spenzalez Studios used to develop apps.”

“Once the development was more or less done, we switched to making games.”

Naomi was stunned.

Was this the world of geniuses?

It took other companies years to develop a single app, but Lennon’s studio just finished one and then casually moved on to another industry?

“Is it useful?”

And yet, it was devastatingly attractive.

Naomi knew it was rude to stare, but she couldn’t help herself.

“What is it?”

Naomi snapped out of her daze, quickly lowering her head to hide her embarrassment. She changed the subject, “Um… you mentioned my drawings before. What was the problem with them?”

Lennon pursed his lips. He started the car before replying, “Let’s find a quiet place to talk.”

Naomi wanted to ask if the car wasn’t quiet enough, but she figured a successful person like him would probably find it unprofessional to discuss work in a car, so she kept quiet.

They drove in silence to an elegant and romantic restaurant, and Lennon led the way inside.

Naomi followed, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

Talk about work… here?
