Chapter 13
Lucian drove to Grimclaw Manor where Ayla and Willow lived.
Upon hearing the sound of the engine, Willow cheerfully trotted out to greet Lucian.
However, seeing Lucian get out of the car, she turned her head away and let out a heavy snort.
‘Is my little princess angry with me?” Lucian walked over and picked Willow up.
Wrapping her arms around Lucian’s neck, Willow slightly raised her chin and said proudly, “Daddy, if you kiss me, I will forgive you.”
Anything cold about Lucian faded away. He smiled as he leaned in and kissed Willow on the cheek.
Willow immediately beamed, burying her face in Lucian’s neck, and coquettishly showing her attachment.
Lucian looked at the cute girl in his arms, who was easily appeased, his eyes full of affection.
That,
was what his ideal daughter looked like, innocent and lovely.
She had a bit of a childish temper but was easily pacified.
Lucian thought, “Ayla educates Willow very well. In contrast, Aurora was less of a qualified heir. I just stood her up once, and she was abetted by her mother to throw a tantrum and hide away.”
Just then, Ayla’s gentle voice interrupted his thoughts. “Come on in. Dinner is ready.”
As Ayla spoke, she untied her apron and walked to the door.
When Lucian approached, she chuckled and explained, “When I called you in the morning, Willow overheard our conversation. She was so eager to see you that she kept calling you. I couldn’t stop her. Lucian, did I make you any
rouble here?”
Not at all. I was held up at something,” Lucian responded in a low voice.
Then he carried Willow into the house.
Under the bright lights, Ayla, whose gaze had been fixed on Lucian, noticed the injury on his lower lip.
At first glance, she could tell it was bitten.
Ayla’s smile in her lips froze.
She believed Lucian came late because I seduced him using my body.
At 20:30, it was the time when Willow went to bed every evening.
Ayla helped her take a bath and carried her to bed.
Lucian drew a storybook and sat by the bed, ready to lull her to sleep.
Willow nestled into his arms, holding onto his neck, and softly pleaded, “Daddy, don’t leave tonight. Can you stay with me and Mommy?”

After tidying up the bathroom, Ayla stepped out and frowned at Willow’s words. She scolded her daughter, “Willow, you can’t ask your Dad for that.”
Willow felt wronged. Tears quickly welled up in her eyes. She looked at Ayla and said in a tearful voice, “I am sorry, but I just want to sleep with mommy and daddy tonight.”
As she spoke, tears kept flooding down her face.
Pathetic, she looked!
She cried and choked as she asked, “Other pups can sleep with their Dad and Mom. Why can’t I?”
