Chapter 116 Doubts About First Love
She wondered how he was doing.
Her phone buzzed.
Stella’s eyes lit up. It was him.
“Stella, are you free tomorrow? I’d love to see you if you have time.”
She didn’t hesitate.
“Yes.”
The corners of her mouth tugged upward before she could stop them.
Elias squeezed her hand gently. “What are you thinking about?”
“It feels like a dream. Finding out that besides my mom, there are all these people who actually love me.”
Something in his chest tightened. He pulled her closer, tilting his head until his eyes met hers. “Stella. It’s not a dream. It’s real. From now on, your life is going to be full of good things. I promise.”
They smiled at each other, and for a moment, they almost leaned in.
Then they remembered they were in public.
‘Stella, these pieces are really high quality. I’ll have some sets made for you.”
“This much?”
‘It’s nothing. Take it.”
“Thank you, Kenneth.”
‘Oh, and send me the account info for your foundation. I need to support my sister’s cause.”

A brother like this… Stella had finally found one. So why did her chest still ache a little?
That night, Stella lay in bed, staring at the ceiling.
Everything that had happened recently felt almost unreal.
She’d forgotten what joy felt like. What happiness was.
Now she remembered.
But somehow, even her happiness came with a shadow.
Mom. I swear–I’ll find everyone who hurt you. And I’ll make them pay.

She closed her eyes slowly. Soon, only the soft sound of her breathing filled the room.
Meanwhile, online, things were exploding.
Some claimed Stella was Queen. Others insisted she wasn’t.
The two sides went at each other like warring nations.
Then, suddenly, a new story dropped–Elias‘ first love was Queen. Her return had caused a rift between him and Stella–which explained why Stella hadn’t been at the World Music Festival.
The drama shifted. Suddenly, Sienna wasn’t the only one catching heat.
Sienna scrolled through post after post, and the more she read, the more she believed.
Queen was the woman Elias truly loved. Stella had clearly been dumped.
She had to have been.

The next afternoon, Stella hadn’t expected to run into Felix and Sienna outside the building. They looked like they’d been waiting a while.
‘Dr. Shaw. We need to talk.”
‘I don’t think we do.”
Felix’s face tightened at the dismissal. A thin smile crossed his lips. “I’d recommend you cooperate.”
She looked up. Dozens of men in black had materialized around her, blocking every exit.
A cold smile tugged at her mouth. “In your condition? You sure you want to try me?”
‘You just reminded me.”
Stella’s brow furrowed slightly. Then Felix crumpled to the ground.
“The Prodigy Healer isn’t going to refuse to treat a patient, is she?”
Sienna’s smile was smug.
The bodyguards pressed in.
“The Moore family paid you millions for treatment. Not only did you fail to cure him, but now you won’t even help. Is that the Prodigy Healer’s version of medical ethics?”
Stella laughed–bright, sharp, like sunlight cutting through rain,
Fine.
If this is how they wanted to play, I’d play.

She crouched down, adjusted something near her collar, and started working on Felix.
Felix winced.
What was she doing?
Ow. Ow. Ow.
Was she insane?
His bones felt like they were coming apart at the joints.
