Chapter 122 Felix Arrested for Kidnapping
A red Lamborghini convertible screeched to a halt, and Kenneth vaulted out of the driver’s seat before the engine fully settled.
“Look at all these cars!”
“And the guys–so many of them.”
“Hey–is that Mr. Davis? The telecom billionaire? I’ve seen him on CNBC.”
“And that onc–I swear I’ve seen his face in a textbook.”
“That’s the university president. Our president.”
‘Oh no. My CEO just walked in. Hope I don’t get fired for skipping work to be here with my girlfriend…”
One by one, the city’s most powerful figures filed into the square.
Before Felix could process what was happening, they began to speak.
‘We need to make sure the Prodigy Healer gets justice.”
‘If we let someone like her be dragged through the mud like this, we all lose.”
‘The Moores keep coming after her. False accusations, public humiliation–it never stops. It’s a bad look.”
Felix’s jaw tightened until his teeth ached. In front of everyone, he was escorted toward the police vehicle.
He turned his head, fixing Stella with a look like poison–cold, slow, deliberate.
Jasper and Elias moved forward, one on each side, their eyes sharp, blocking his view of her.
Frederick and Kenneth flanked her as well, gazes hard and unyielding.
Behind her–the most influential people in Azure Peak City.
The weight of it made Felix’s stomach turn. He’d miscalculated. Badly.
“Grandfather. What’s going on?”
Leo had just arrived. He looked around, disoriented.
This was Azure Peak City. No matter what Felix had done, this was still his city. Taking him away like this- in front of everyone–was unheard of.
“Mr. Moore. Please don’t interfere with official business.”
Leo looked up, and for a moment, he froze. The lineup in front of him was staggering.
“Leo–please. Help us.”

Sienna’s voice cracked, tears streaming. She’d spent years throwing her weight around this city. Never once had she imagined being dragged off like this.
Leo didn’t respond.
He’d come straight from surgery. He was exhausted, and honestly–he didn’t know what had happened.
“Lco. We’ll talk at the station.”
Felix didn’t want to stand here any longer, being stared at like a spectacle.
He was placed in the back of a police car and driven away.
Leo’s gaze swept across the crowd of power players standing near Stella. Then he walked over.
“Uncle Jasper.” His tone was respectful.
Jasper nodded once. His expression gave nothing away.
“Stella. I’m sorry. On behalf of my grandfather.”
“Don’t bother.”
The hatred in her chest burned hotter than ever.
After today, she was more certain than before: Felix knew something.
Leo needed to get to the station. Before he left, he pulled Elias aside.
“Elias. About today-”
“Stella’s my line in the sand. No one crosses it. Not even me.”
Leo smiled faintly and said nothing more.
“Take care of her.”
Then he was gone.
By now, Stella was surrounded. Everyone wanted to invite her over, have her for dinner, get her alone.
Elias cleared his throat deliberately.
The crowd parted.
Stella left with them.
The square slowly emptied–but one pair of eyes, cold and vicious, watched her every step until she disappeared.
“I’ll handle the rest. You don’t need to worry about it.”

When Elias had heard she was missing, something in him had cracked.
Stella smiled softly. “Okay.”
“Go have dinner with Jasper. I’m heading to the station.”
“Okay.”
He ruffled her hair gently. “I’ve arranged security for you. Don’t argue.”
She saw the worry in his eyes and couldn’t say no.
After Elias left, the Shaw brothers figured Jasper and Stella needed time alone. They didn’t linger.
Jasper looked at her carefully. “I’m sorry.”
She met his gaze.
“For what?”
“For what he did. He hurt you to get to me. To force me back.”
The guilt was crushing him. He felt like he’d failed her all over again.
“I don’t blame you.”
That only made it worse.
