“Iris, you’ve publicly announced your marriage. Aren’t you afraid it will hurt your career?”
“Congratulations! Is this an arranged marriage, or a love match between childhood sweethearts?”
“We wish you both the best. Will you consider joining a reality show as a couple?”
Faced with the reporters‘ questions, Iris and Kenneth pressed their palms together to thank
everyone.
“Thank you all for your
your kind wishes. There’s no reason to hide this. I, Iris Monroe, am married, and my husband is Kenneth Shaw. Thanks again, but we’re heading home for our wedding night now. Excuse us.”
The moment she spoke, the entire crowd erupted. Everyone laughed and stepped aside. Who would dare to stop them?
Iris was truly bold.
Kenneth held her in his arms and waved the marriage license in his hand.
“Thank you all. Please make way.”
As soon as they got into the car, Kenneth slammed on the gas. Iris stared at him, stunned.
“Why the rush?”
“Wedding night.”
“I was just trying to end the interview faster. Can’t you take a joke?”
“Honey, I took it seriously.”
Iris smiled. He was getting more and more comfortable calling her his honey.
“I have a schedule tomorrow.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t leave you too tired to get out of bed.”
“Stop talking. Did you replace the bed?”
Kenneth raised an eyebrow and grinned.
“This time, the quality is top–notch.”

“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go home and get to work.”
“Hold on tight, honey.”
He hit the gas again, and the Rolls–Royce quickly arrived at their home.
As soon as the door closed, they kissed deeply.
“Is anyone home?” Iris suddenly pushed him
away.
“Relax. I cleared the house.”

Rip! Clink!
Her white shirt was torn apart, buttons scattering across the floor.
Kenneth looked at her in surprise.
“Someone’s aggressive today.”
“We’re in a hurry.”
“Your schedule isn’t until tomorrow.”
He carried her toward the second floor, clothes dropping along the way.
She paused for a step. “You running out of stamina already?”
Kenneth’s expression changed slightly. He threw her over his shoulder.
“Mrs. Shaw, you’re in trouble.”
“You promised not to go too far.”
“I don’t do domestic violence. I only spoil my wife.”
He kissed her breathless.
The room was burning with passion, and so was the internet.
Twitter crashed for hours.
The news of Iris‘ marriage shot to the top of the trending list, and the whole web sent blessings.
Only the poor programmers suffered.

Stella and Elias‘ engagement had crashed the servers just the week before. They’d fixed it all night, and now it happened again.
Being a worker was tough.
At Cloudreach Manor.
Stella watched Elias‘ wounds heal, and her anxious heart finally settled.
Elias looked at her tenderly. Sitting on the bed, he opened his arms with a soft smile, waiting for her to help him dress.
“Elias, Kenneth and Iris got their license today. Aunt Sylvie wants us over for dinner.”
“Alright.”
Elias pulled her into his embrace.
“Stella, I’m much better. We’ll leave for our vacation tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
She stroked his short hair. Once they returned from vacation, she would be busy with her own work.
“Do whatever you need to do. I’ll be right here waiting for you.”
Elias kissed her deeply.
“Elias, we have to go out soon.”
Elias breathed heavily, forcing down his desire.
When they arrived at Shaw Estate hand in hand, the elders smiled brightly.
“Aunt Sylvie, where are Kenneth and Iris?” Stella looked around.
“They should be on their way.”
Everyone took their seats, but the couple still hadn’t appeared.
“Frederick, call him and ask where they are.”
What Sylvie didn’t know was that they had completely forgotten.
