She selected her ingredients and began blending calmly.
Yvonne glanced over and scoffed inwardly. Putting on a show.

Today, she would make sure the Corbin elders stripped Stella of her inheritance eligibility.
“Sean, Stella doesn’t know a thing. This is so unfair.”
Shane glowered at Yvonne.
“Be patient.” Sean wore a faint, satisfied smile.
Legend says the Corbins produce an all–around genius once a century. It seems the legend is true.
Stella, what will it take for you to inherit the Corbins and lead us further?
[Fan A: Master Raindew’s amazing! Wish I were there.]
[Fan B: The masked genius hit a real wall this time.]
[Fan C: What’s Master Inkblot even doing? Looks like she’s waiting for the clock to run out.]
[Fan D: You’re probably right.]
[Fan E: Our queen’s just cashing another check. The Shaw Foundation’s gonna help so many sick people.]
[Fan F: She’s adorable. Even if she loses, we get it!]
[Fan G: Both are great, but Master Raindew’s being cheap. Whatever, she paid the fee.]
Yvonne smiled confidently. “I’m finished.”
The perfume experts in the room leaned forward eagerly.
“I’m done too,” Stella said.
The experts only nodded politely at her, too busy admiring Yvonne’s work–she was the nation’s rising perfume star.
When Stella smelled Yvonne’s scent, her brow furrowed.
She’s supposed to be a master? That’s it?

“Her perfumes are impossible to get. I offer a million.”
“It’s a competition piece. Should go to auction.”
The crowd fixated on Yvonne and forgot Stella’s perfume entirely.
Yvonne smiled proudly and stepped forward. “Stella, the result is obvious. I won.”
Stella smiled faintly and raised an eyebrow. “Maybe.”
Yvonne suddenly glanced up at the second–floor box, her gaze challenging.
Sean remained calm, sipping coffee elegantly.
Shane crossed his arms, unimpressed.
“Big deal. Why’s she so full of herself?”
Shane snorted, downed his coffee, and slammed the cup down. It shattered.
“She’s been training since she was three. Stella never even prepared. It’s shameless. Wish they competed in math instead. Stella would crush her so hard she’d hide.”
Sean smiled at his furious brother.
ias stepped onto the stage and pulled her into a hug. “My Stella’s amazing.”
I might lose.”
“In my heart, you already won.”
He stroked her hair gently, his eyes overflowing with affection.
“Stella, Dad’s so proud of you.” Jasper patted her shoulder warmly.
The live chat exploded.

[Fan B: One win each. Perfect tie.]
[Fan C: Wait, nobody announced the result yet!]

[Fan D: Is there even a doubt? Master Inkblot’s great, but Master Raindew’s the professional.]
[Fan E: A competition should be fair.]
Yvonne was already accepting congratulations when a shocked cry froze the room.
“Oh! Good heavens! What is this?”
A white–haired judge’s eyes bulged, as if he’d seen a miracle.
“Professor Hendricks, what’s wrong?”
“This… this is the most perfect scent I’ve smelled in sixty years. Every breath is a surprise,” Edgar Hendricks said.
The crowd erupted in murmurs.
Yvonne frowned.
“Top, middle, and base notes blend flawlessly. The light scent is intoxicating, the layers so
clear… it’s like…” Edgar closed his eyes, utterly lost in bliss.
