Mark pressed a hand to his forehead and turned away, tears of joy filling his eyes. “As long as she’s alive… as long as she’s alive.”
He suddenly looked at Jasper in confusion. “If you found her, why didn’t you tell me?”
Jasper did not hide anything. He explained his worries.
They had not grown up together. The Corbin family’s heirs were all afraid of Stella. He feared his daughter would get hurt.
After hearing the whole story, Mark patted his shoulder. “I understand, Jasper.
“I’ll send people to look for her too. If she isn’t cruel, I want to recognize her. We’ll respect her choice above all else.”
Jasper nodded at his words. “Will you come with me to Mr. Oswald Corbin’s birthday banquet?”
“Yes. I’ll go with you.” Mark planned to head back early to search for Nadia.
Stella and Elias left with Jasper.
Three days later, in Vosshire.
As soon as Stella and the others arrived, luxury cars lined the airport.
Sean and Shane came to pick them up personally.
“My grandpa is waiting for all of you.”
Mark and Jasper exchanged a glance.
Mark’s voice was low. “Thank you for coming all this way.”
Dozens of cars stopped by the sea. When a helicopter appeared, Leo frowned. “We have to fly?”
“If helicopters aren’t comfortable, we can take a yacht instead,” Shane suggested seriously.
“Stella… they aren’t going to send us to heaven, are they? Then the Corbin family would get our wealth,” Leo said.
Stella blinked in surprise at his words.

“Maybe you shouldn’t go. Someone has to stay home. We can’t all disappear,” Leo added.
Stella was left speechless.

“Stella, if you’re not tired later, I can take you to our family library. I already asked Grandpa. You can read anything you want,” Shane said eagerly, full of admiration.
Leo stepped closer and whispered, “It’s a trap.”
“I told the authorities in Azure Peak before I left. They’ll look for me if I don’t return,” Stella said.
Leo relaxed, remembering she was a top protected pharmacologist.
“Leo, how about you go back?” Stella asked.
“Please. I’m already here. Turning back would make me a joke.” Leo boarded the helicopter too.
“Stella,” Jasper called, gesturing for her to sit beside him.
“Don’t worry,
Dad. Elias found out Nadia is back at the Corbin Manor.”
No one knew why she had disappeared for three days.
“Alright.” Jasper felt conflicted as they neared the meeting.
Before long, Stella saw a large estate in the forest from the air.
“That’s our home, Stella,” Shane said, turning from the front seat.
Stella nodded slightly.
Even at rest, her mind was on the medicine she was developing.
The helicopter finally landed at the estate.
Stella waited in the living room with her family.
The sound of a wheelchair caught their attention. They all looked over. An elderly man with white hair sat inside, his spirit strong.
“Grandpa, let me introduce everyone,” Sean said, stepping forward. “These are your sister’s sons: Mark and Jasper.”
Oswald Corbin’s eyes glistened. “Thank you for coming.”
“This is Mark’s son, Leo. And this is Stella.”

At the name Stella, Oswald grew visibly emotional. “Wonderful. Another genius in our Corbin family.”
He wiped a tear away. “Your grandmother was a genius too. But she grew tired of the family’s lies and betrayals. She faked her death just to escape. Still, she was never happy.”
He looked at them with sincere regret. “I’m sorry, my dear. Trying to pass the Corbin family to you has brought you so much trouble.”
He held out a set of antique jewelry.
Stella automatically looked at Jasper. He stroked her head gently. “It’s a gift from an elder. Take it.”
She nodded. “Thank you.”
“Shane, take them to the library,” Oswald said.
“Alright.”
Once they left, Oswald gave Mark and Jasper his late sister’s belongings.
Stella lost herself in the medical books in the library. Leo felt the same.
The two stayed there all afternoon. After dinner, they returned again.
The next day was Oswald’s birthday banquet.
Early that morning, Stella was still reading.
“Stella, have some water,” Leo said.
“Thanks,” she replied without looking up, taking a sip.
“Stella, the banquet is about to start,” Shane said.
Stella closed her book and gently rubbed her temples.
