Chapter 294 Jax’s Disaster Day
Miles rubbed his head and smiled sheepishly. “Right, I mean openly.”
“Did any adult know about this?”
The four children nodded quickly.
Jax let out a relieved sigh. He would have been in serious trouble if they had sneaked out without anyone knowing.
“Who exactly?” He looked around. There was nothing but staff, animals, and the four kids.
“You!”
All four answered in perfect unison.
Jax gaped in disbelief. “So your parents don’t know about any of this?”
The four shook their heads together, looking utterly innocent.
“Then how did you manage to book the whole park?”
“The zoo was closed today. We called and reserved it yesterday,” Jason said with a serious expression.
“You can’t trick me like this!”
“You’re a famous movie star and action hero. You won’t make kids pay the bill, right? If word gets out, your fans will laugh at you!” Miles teased, sticking out his tongue and making a face.
“Is this really about money?”
“If you run off without paying, we’ll have to stay here and work,” Liam said, holding his sister’s hand tightly.
Chloe understood immediately. Her big eyes grew watery as she looked up at Jax, her voice trembling and tearful.
“Jax… do I have to stay here and walk the tigers?”
No one could resist that.
Jax quickly lifted her into his arms and comforted her softly. “Sweetie, I’d never let you stay and fee tigers.”
“Will the big tiger eat me?”
“No, baby. Don’t cry.”
Jax paid the bill. As he prepared to leave, the staff all asked for his autograph.
“Jax is amazing!”

“You’re so popular!”
“I knew you were the best!”
Chloe, Jason, and Miles exclaimed one after another.
Jax was thoroughly flattered.
As soon as they left the park, Jax led the four children into his car.
“Listen to me. This is our secret. Don’t tell your parents, okay?”
“OK!”
The four made OK gestures. Jax breathed a sigh of relief.
“But don’t trick me like this again. My heart can’t take it. You’re so young, but I feel outsmarted by all of you.”
“Don’t feel bad, Jax. Our ages add up to nearly nineteen. We have adult–level IQ.” Jason said, patting his shoulder comfortingly.
Jax fell completely silent.
“We’ll treat you to a meal next time!”
“No, thank you.”
“It’s for Mommy and Daddy’s wedding. Free dinner, no tricks.”
Jax checked his watch. “Don’t you have class this afternoon?”
Liam crossed his arms and spoke coolly, “We have the afternoon off.”
“Why?”
“Who cares? We just want a day off.”
“Fine, I’ll take you home.”
Just as he finished speaking, Chloe clutched her stomach. Her face turned pale, and sweat dotted her forehead.
“Jax… my tummy hurts…”
“Chloe!” Liam looked panicked.
“It hurts so bad!”
Jax immediately picked her up. “To the hospital! Hurry!”
What terrible luck!

Chapter 294 Jax’s Disaster Day
I was scolded by my mother as a child, outshone by my uncle growing up, and now tricked by my little cousins.
Everyone said I had average intelligence. I was always outmatched.
Now even the younger ones outsmart me.
All Cross family members–why am I the only ordinary one?

At Azure Medical Center.
“Leo, please check her quickly! Chloe has a stomachache!”
Leo took her gently at once. “Don’t be afraid, sweetie. Uncle Leo is here.”
Chloe leaned weakly in his arms like a wilted rose.
“I’m dead. I’m in so much trouble.” Jax paced anxiously. Liam and the others were also nervous.
