Chapter 377 The Lucky Charm
“Go ahead. I’m petty.”
Amelia looked up and saw Nicole looking distracted.
“Nicole, you okay?”
She shook her head. “I just feel uneasy.”
“Don’t believe what that reader said. It’s just talk. Ruined forever? Please-you’re the Shaw princess. The Shaw family protects you, I’ve got your back, and so do Jaron and Jasper. You can do whatever you want in this city. Who dares to hurt you? Anyone who does is basically dead.”
Nicole’s bad mood lifted immediately. “Where are they?”
“Amber fell again.”
“What? That’s weird. She fell again?”
Amelia patted her head.
Silly girl. It’s not weird at all. Amber’s just obsessed with her brother. She fell on purpose to make him take her home.
“This time she tumbled down the stairs. Not so lucky anymore.”
Amelia held her hand. “Don’t go. She’ll only blame you.”
“Jasper, I’m bleeding! You’re not taking me home?”
Jasper told the driver, “Take Amber home first. I’ll be there soon.”
Amber cried angrily as she watched Jasper leave.
Jasper returned to the shrine and carefully swept up the broken bracelet.
“I want another one exactly like that.”
“There are no more.”
A faint unease settled in Jasper’s chest.
He wouldn’t refuse money unless something was really wrong.
Ring…
Jasper frowned at the caller ID.

Chapter 377 The Lucky Charm
Jasper held the phone away from his car at once, as if he already knew what was coming.
Sure enough, Felix’s furious voice exploded from the speaker.
“Jasper! What are you doing? You took your sister out and didn’t protect her! She rolled down the mountain stairs, and you left her with bodyguards?”

“Dad, if she rolled down the stairs and can still complain to you, do you really think she’s badly hurt?”
Felix was completely silenced.
“She didn’t come with me. She followed me. Every time she shows up, she offends my friends. She’s upset three of the four big families. Do you want the Moore family isolated?”
Felix opened his mouth, but couldn’t bring himself to criticize Amber. “Come home first.”
“Fine.” Jasper stared at the ended call, frowning deeply.
“Jasper, what are you doing here?”
He turned around. The moment he saw Nicole, his irritation vanished, replaced by a bright smile.
“The bracelet broke. I wanted to get you another, but there are none left.”
“It’s okay.”
“Pick whatever you like instead.”
Nicole shook her head. “Don’t worry about it. You should go home.”
“I’m sorry about today.”
“Your sister… she doesn’t…?”
“What?”
Nicole pressed her lips together and decided not to say it.
She’d been reading too many comics.
She actually suspected Amber was in love with Jasper.
“Nicole, my sister’s just spoiled. Like I said, you never have to tolerate her for me.”
“Okay. I won’t let myself be wronged.”
“Good.”
Jasper raised his hand to touch her head, but stopped himself.
Even though she refused, he still gave her a lucky charm.
“This will keep bad luck away. Don’t worry, okay?”

Chapter 377 The Lucky Charm
Nicole looked down at the lucky charm in her hand and smiled softly. “Thank you”
He smiled back. “I’m going home now. All this is for you.”
He left all his snacks with her and returned the money she had transferred.
“Jaron, Amelia, please take Nicole home.”
“Will do.”
Jaron patted his shoulder and urged him to leave.
“Nicole, let’s go home too.”
“Okay.” Nicole nodded carefully and put the lucky charm away safely.
“Let me escort the two ladies home.”
The three smiled at each other and left the shrine.
At the Moore Manor.
Amber’s cries filled the living room. “Dad, I almost got disfigured!”
She covered her swollen cheek, tears streaming down.
“Mom, Jasper doesn’t care about me at all. He only follows Nicole around. He forgot I’m his family.”
Vivian smiled gently and wiped her tears. “Amber, you’re jealous of Nicole.”
“Mom, I am jealous! I’m his real family.”
“Jasper will always be your brother. You’ll always be his dearest sister. As for Nicole…”
Vivian looked softly at Jasper. “If nothing goes wrong, she’ll be Jasper’s wife. You mustn’t bully her.”
