Stella didn’t head straight for the car. Instead, she stopped and faced the crowd, a warm smile spreading across her face. “Thank you. All of you. I really appreciate the support.”

Elias slid back into his car and pulled out slowly, keeping just enough distance to follow Stella’s vehicle- almost like he was escorting her home.

The second Stella got in the car, Iris pounced.

“Okay. Spill. What is going on with you and Elias?”

“We’re just… friends.”

Iris grinned and threw an arm around her shoulder. “Frie… nds. Right. Boyfriend, maybe?”
