Chapter 5
Instantly, students throughout the venue started buzzing:
“Holy crap! She really is Mr. Fraser’s wife! She wasn’t lying!”
“I actually believed her at first! I only doubted it because Wren got so mad – she really is her stepmom!”
“I mean, everyone knows CEOs like young women, but did he have to pick someone his daughter’s age?”
“But Mr. Fraser’s pretty hot though – I’d go for it too!”
Dad’s face darkened immediately. I was absolutely furious, pointing at Tessa.
“Are you insane? What are you doing in that seat?”
But Tessa quickly walked over to Dad and linked her arm through his.
“Honey, what took you so long?”
Dad backed away several steps, looking completely horrified.
“Miss, even jokes have their time and place.”
I stepped between Tessa and Dad. If it weren’t for the crowd and not wanting to embarrass Dad, I would’ve clawed her face off right there!
“Tessa, have you been to a psychiatrist? How long do you think you can keep this act up?”
“You think I don’t know? You lied about deleting those posts – you just blocked me! Making up stories to fool everyone!”
“You’ve seriously damaged mine and my father’s reputation, and I will hold you accountable!”
A sly glint flashed in Tessa’s eyes before she returned to her usual sweet demeanor.
“Wren, I know you don’t like me, but we’ll be spending lots of time together. I’ll make you love me eventually.”
“Honey, let’s take our seats. The ceremony’s about to start.”
Dad’s fists were clenched – I could feel him fighting to control himself.
If this were a male student, Dad’s fist would’ve already connected.
“First, I am not your honey.”
Second, you will have no further contact with my daughter.”
Dad spoke each word deliberately, his eyes blazing with barely contained fury.
But Tessa suddenly started crying, sobbing uncontrollably.
Everyone stared, waiting for her response.
Suddenly, Tessa looked up at Dad coldly.

“You were sleeping with me last night, and now you’re pretending you don’t know me?”
“Is this what the CEO of Fraser Industries is really like?”
Her words sent shockwaves through the crowd.
Media reporters even raised their cameras, not wanting to miss any explosive news.
Dad’s face was thunderous, veins bulging.
“Say one more word and you’ll be in jail.”
Reporters thrust microphones at Tessa, waiting for her response.
Tessa calmly took a microphone and turned to the cameras.
“I didn’t return to my dorm last night because I was with Reid Fraser.”
“If you don’t believe me, ask Reid’s daughter Wren – didn’t I fail to come back to our room last night?”
I froze. She really hadn’t come back last night.
But there was no way she’d been with Dad!
Seeing my silence, Tessa suddenly pulled out her phone and opened her photo gallery.
There were selfies of her in Dad’s passenger seat, and sneaky shots of Dad driving.
I couldn’t breathe from shock – I immediately recognized Dad’s sports car from when he’d driven me to school.
Everyone started shouting, cursing Dad for being a predator who’d mess with college students.
Dad immediately explained:
“Yesterday Tessa came to my office making a scene. When I had my driver take her back, she refused and demanded I drive her myself.”
“I dropped her at the school gate and left! She must have taken those photos during the ride.”
I nodded frantically.
“Yes! I knew about Tessa going crazy at Dad’s office yesterday too!”
“And sitting in a passenger seat means what? You can’t claim an affair just from riding shotgun!”
Then Tessa opened another photo.
It showed Dad lying asleep in bed with Tessa next to him taking a selfie.
She smiled slightly and asked me:
“What about now? Is this prough?”
