You Faked Your Deaths to Punish Me?! That’s Illegal, Family! novel Chapter 59

Chapter 4

The ambulance got there fast.

When I opened the door, Mrs. Davidson was peeking from across the hall with an “I KNEW IT” look plastered on her face.

Two paramedics followed me into the bedroom. When they saw what was going on, even THEY looked stunned.

Once they realized Dad and Sienna were glued together with actual super glue, the medics looked at Mom with this mix of shock and… respect?

After checking them over, the guy sighed. “They’re stuck too tight. And this area’s really sensitive. We gotta get them to the ER to separate them safely.”

“Can you two walk?”

Dad and Sienna were helped off the bed by the medics. Both looked like they were dying.

Sienna was sobbing. “No… it hurts too much.”

Dad hissed in pain. “We can’t walk!”

The medic made a call. A few minutes later, two more paramedics showed up. Together they lifted Dad and Sienna-still connected-onto a stretcher and draped a sheet over them.

Both people under that sheet reached up at the same time and pulled it over their faces, hiding completely.

Mom laughed bitterly. “Now you’re embarrassed? Little late for that.”

She was right. By the time the medics wheeled them out, a crowd had gathered outside our door and downstairs.

“Look! There’s TWO people on that stretcher! Bet someone got caught cheating!”

“Why’d they need an ambulance though? Did Linda beat them that bad?”

“Girl, I heard screaming from the next building over!”

Everyone was talking over each other, and some bold lady even tried lifting the sheet to peek.

Luckily the medics were quick and got them into the ambulance before she succeeded.

At the hospital, they wheeled Dad and Sienna into the ER.

Dad-thinking he was safe now-started yelling about calling the cops.

Meanwhile Mom collapsed into a waiting room chair, looking completely blank. Like some devastated wife whose husband just cheated on her.

But I knew better. That was just an act. She’s more ruthless than any of them.

Just then Mom suddenly spoke. “Sloane, you did good this time,”

I froze.

What does she mean… “this time”?

I wanted to ask what she meant, but Mom already stood up.

I followed her all the way to Jett’s hospital room.

He was lying in bed playing some mobile game. When he saw us, he barely looked up. “Hey sis, you’re here.”

Then went right back to his phone. “Lemme finish this round real quick.”

Mom wasn’t having it. She snatched the phone out of his hands. “Are you SERIOUS right now?!”

“Sienna, that BITCH, she-”

The more Jett heard, the darker his face got. By the time Mom finished telling him everything, he was seething.

“This can’t just slide,” he growled.

Mom paused, then said to me, “Go check on your dad. Let me know if there’s any updates.”

She wanted me gone so they could talk privately. I played along and nodded. “Okay.”

As I walked out, I caught part of their conversation.

“Sis, remember Cormac? He could-”
