Sandra’s POV

Her boyfriend had never been interested in having her around, but he had time to spare for a child he had just met.

"What is this scumbag doing here?" Javier's eyes were ice-cold, and he was furious.

"Who are you referring to as a scumbag?"

"This lad"

"To begin with, I don't recall asking you to my home, and you came here and began criticizing my guest. This is not your home; it is mine. When I marry you, we'll live in this home together. Don't come over to my place and start behaving like Mrs. Hills. I reserve the right to alter my mind at any moment. He then focused his attention on her. "How did you end up at my house?"

Sandra felt so humiliated that she hoped she could dig a hole and sneak inside.

"I came so that we could spend time together as two soon-to-be-married people. Is that what I'm doing wrong?"
