Chapter 1025
Joanne waved at Patrick and left.
She was feeling a little doubtful. She did not tell any friends about this film shoot. Who would come to her?
She saw the middle-aged lawyer in a suit and leather shoes and instantly understood what was happening.
"Hi, Miss Winters. I'm the lawyer from the Atherton Family. Here is the divorce agreement between you and Edwin. You can sign it here."
The lawyer handed her a black signing pen as he spread out the document and pointed to the blank space at the end of the page.
Joanne gritted her teeth as she took the pen.
They found her so quickly, coming all the way here in Kansas City...
It seemed that the Athertons really hated her, desperately wanting to remove her from the family.
Joanne asked, "Who sent you to give me this document? Was it Grandma? Or Edwin?"
"Is there any difference?" the lawyer asked impatiently.
It took him a lot of time and effort to find out that Joanne had come to Kansas City. He just wanted her to sign the document so he could quickly return back home.
She took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Of course, there is a difference.
I made a marriage agreement with Edwin. There were many terms that were not in my favor. If he did not give these divorce papers, then it must be incomplete. What if I get tricked?"
"Rest assured, the Athertons have a very strong foundation and influence. They have no reason to trick you. Hurry up and sign it!" said the lawyer, rolling his eyes.
Joanne held the pen tightly. Her gaze slowly moved toward the blank space of the document.
Did she really want to divorce Edwin?
"Sorry, I can't..."
Screech!
At this moment, a sharp tire-screeching sound was heard. A luxurious Bagatti Veiron appeared in front of them, stopping right at the intersection behind the lawyer!
Edwin kicked the car door open and got out of the vehicle. He wore a casual red outfit with black trousers, which complemented his slender figure very nicely.
Despite that, his murderous look could not be overseen!
