Chapter 1131

When Catelyn looked up, she just bumped into Alfred's affectionate eyes. He was looking at her. There were only a few inches between them.

Catelyn could even see the fine fuzz on Alfred's face.

Alfred could smell her faint scent. He swallowed and his obscure eyes fell on her scarlet lips.

Her lips were so appealing that he wanted to bite them...

"The baby seems to be able to understand US. She's quieted down." Catelyn quickly lowered her head. Her thick lashes were fluttering.

Alfred could only see the top of her head now. He took a deep breath in silence and smiled, "She must be an angel."

Catelyn nodded absentmindedly, her heart racing.

'Did Alfred just try to kiss me?

'No, we can't do that.

'He deserves a better girl. And I love Cedrick.'

But Catelyn was worried she'd got the wrong idea. Everyone knew Alfred had been looking for his fiancee.

Just as Catelyn was about to say something to break the silence, Alfred suggested, "Tomorrow's the weekend. Why don't we go to Cloud Island for a vacation? The view is fantastic there. The waves keep lapping against the rocks. Maybe you can relax there..."

Alfred's suggestion eased the awkwardness of the moment, and Catelyn agreed.

In the evening, a middle-aged woman came to the house. Catelyn was surprised.

Catelyn was then lying on a wicker chair in the courtyard. When she saw the woman, she thought the woman might have come to the wrong place.

She surveyed the woman suspiciously. From the woman’s outfit, she seemed to be a woman of status.

Then Karlie came into the courtyard and saw the woman. She respectfully called out, "Mrs. Wagner!"

'Mrs. Wagner?'

Karlie introduced Mrs. Wagner to Catelyn, "This is Mr. Wagner's mother, Mrs. Wagner."

Then Karlie introduced Catelyn to Candice, "Mrs. Wagner, this is Ms. Clark."

Candice looked elegant. She nodded with a smile, her eyes fastened on Catelyn.

Candice had heard that her son had arranged for a woman to live in the house and had arranged for a number of bodyguards.

When she saw Catelyn today, she was stunned.

'This girl looks...1

"Mrs. Wagner?" Catelyn learned the woman was Alfred’s mother and she greeted, "Nice to meet you. Please come in."
