Chapter 1132

It was said that Alfred was the dream man of every Fidelysian girl!

"Mrs. Wagner, what can I do for you?’ Catelyn asked as she handed the chrysanthemum tea to Candice.

Candice took a sip of the tea and asked, ’Did Alfred meet you in Sapphire City?’

"Yes." Catelyn didn’t know what Mrs. Wagner wanted to know. She was honest with Mrs. Wagner and told her the story of how Alfred had brought her to Fidelysia. "Mr. Wagner is a nice man. He saved my baby's and my life. You should be proud of having raised such a wonderful son."

Candice smiled and slowly put down her cup of tea, "I heard you're married and that you have two children. Is that true?"

"Yes." Catelyn nodded gently.

"Your kids are over four years old, but you and your husband have been married for less than a year, right?"

The smile on Catelyn's face faded, "Mrs. Wagner, what are you trying to say?"

"What I'm trying to say is quite simple." Candice replied, "If you decide to be with Alfred, you need to cut off from your ex-husband, right? Our family is a prestigious family in Fidelysia. I don't want to see any rumors about my family. It would ruin Alfred's reputation."

Catelyn froze and then she explained seriously, 'Mrs. Wagner, perhaps you misunderstood my relationship with Alfred..."

Candice looked up in surprise. Just as she was about to say something, Alfred came back.

He seemed to be in a hurry, with a thin layer of sweat on his face.

"Mom, you've come to see Catelyn?" Alfred asked as he changed his shoes in the foyer.

Catelyn smiled, "Mrs. Wagner is very kind. We had a nice talk."

Candice teased, "Look at you! Are you worried I'm coming here to find fault with your girlfriend?"

"Mrs. Wagner, you're kidding..." Catelyn assumed that Mrs. Wagner had misunderstood her relationship with Alfred, so she immediately explained, ’ Alfred and I are just friends. If my stay here is inconvenient for you, I’ll be leaving immediately."

Candice froze. She exchanged a puzzled look with Alfred quietly.

'Didn't Alfred tell her she was his fiancee?'

"Ms. Clark, I'm sorry, but Alfred has been single for years. I always wanted him to find a girlfriend. I was kidding." Candice made an excuse to change the subject.

But before Candice left, she asked Alfred privately, "What's going on? She doesn't know she's your fiancée. So why did she come here with you?"

"Someone tried to kill her. I asked her to stay here as a friend. I haven't told her about Aunt Carrey and our engagement." Alfred frowned, "She loves her husband. I don't want to scare her or push her away by telling her we were engaged. And Aunt Carrey has been having frequent epilepsy seizures lately. I've been to the Presidential Palace twice to see her, but I'm afraid to bring Catelyn up to her. We have to wait. After Catelyn gives birth to the baby, 111 talk to her. I don't want to disturb either of them."

The anticipation in Candice's eyes dimmed. She did want Alfred to get married and have his own child soon.
