Chapter 1518 "Jo, are you fleeing for your life?" Jack pulled over, rolled down the window, and poked his head out with a grin.

Joanne had no time for joking. She yanked open the car door and got in. "Drive! Edwin's after me!"

Jack's playful demeanor vanished as he sat up straight. He restarted the car and sped off.

Peering through the rearview mirror, Joanne saw no sign of Edwin in pursuit.

'Perhaps Ada held him up,' she thought to herself.

She relayed the situation to Jack, who let out a mocking laugh.

Though not worried about Ada being bullied, he veered the car and headed back to the hotel.

At the entrance, Edwin's bodyguards dragged Ada away. His handsome face was dark with anger and frustration.

Relieved to see Ada unharmed, Joanne urged, "Let's go before he spots me."

But as if on cue, Edwin's gaze shot up and locked onto Jack's car like a hawk.

Despite the tinted windows, Joanne felt his eyes on her, and a chill ran down her spine.

She looked away guiltily.

Jack taunted Edwin with a provocative glance and a whistle. "Yo, what's got into you, Mr. Atherton? Dumped by someone? Why did you vent it on my sister?"

Now that they had been spotted, there was no point in hiding.

Edwin's fists clenched as he glared at Jack and said firmly," Get that woman and her daughter out of your car!"

Joanne would then be left alone.
