Chapter 578
She had been instructing him left and right, while he had been fulfilling every of her commands.
He was starting to question if Maia had ever loved him.
He then laughed. She did not even care about him. Why would she love him?
Grandpa Mason's blood pressure went up a little too much, almost triggering his hypertension, and he was panting profusely.
He pointed his finger at Maia and Richard as his eyeballs rolled upward.
"You... You shameless couple’"
Maia did not expect Richard to confess, and so she panicked.
"Richard, what bull crap are you talking about?"
"Bull crap? I had even recorded a video of you and I. Do you need me to show everyone now?" Richard snickered.
"You..." Maia looked terribly displeased. She had not expected to record that and cried, "Didn't you promise that no matter what happened, you would not involve the baby and me?”
"I have given you everything and would even give you my heart if I can, but you wanted my life. What other secrets can I keep for you?"
"Secrets? What can you keep? You wanted to kill Ced! Otherwise, show US some evidence to prove that I am the mastermind! If you can't, then this is defamation!"
Maia decided that since Richard executed everything, she was not directly involved, so she must be innocent!
Catelyn watched as the two of them turned against one another and could not help but add, "Richard, is it really worth it to turn into who you are now because of this woman?”
Richard's gaze went cold.
"Shut up! If it was not because of Cedrick and you, how would Maia and I turn into this? You guys are the culprit!"
Cedrick muttered sarcastically, "That was why you wanted to murder me?"
"There are plenty of people out there wishing you dead! I am not afraid to tell you that I only kidnapped Catelyn to force you to hand over all your assets. The assassins after that had nothing to do with me. I can only conclude that you have too many enemies!"
Richard was no longer thinking straight and was already shouting hysterically.
Cedrick’s gaze was cold.
"Even if I have plenty of enemies out there, it is nothing for you to worry about. Please only be worried about your own consequences."
It would be difficult for him to get away with kidnapping, poisoning, and the videos as evidence.
"Call 911. You only deserve to reflect upon your life behind bars," Catelyn said lightly to Eason, dictating the fate of the two of them.
Everything fell silent. Grandpa Mason did not even want to look at the two of them anymore and left angrily.
He even instructed Eason before he left, "Keep them on close watch. Don't you ever let them escape. I will arrange for some men to go to Franche and send them back to the country! We cannot let them continue to walk free!"
