Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant novel Chapter 258

Blanca was a bit hesitant. But she went along hoping Mr. Butler would give her some helpful information to help her solve her identity puzzle.

Blanca went ahead to take off the pendant from her neck. It was tied with a black string which was specially made by Blanca.

The old man also took out his reading glasses, holding the pendant and looking at it carefully several times.

“I did make this one.”

“You did?” Blanca was thrilled to hear Mr. Butler say so. If the pendant was Mr. Butler’s work, did it mean that Mr. Butler...

Blanca was getting suspicious now - Mr. Butler seemed to be the same age as her grandmother. It wasn’t totally impossible if they had been together once and had her parents.

Her speculation filled her eyes looking at Mr. Butler with mixed feelings.

“But this should belong to Malinda.” Mr. Butler stroked the pendant and rubbed the smooth texture of it. He looked at Blanca with harsh curiosity, “Before Malinda was born, I specially obtained such a rough stone and spent nearly a week carving out this jade pendant, and then gave it to my most beloved granddaughter, Malinda Roach. Miss Blanca, may I know how did it end up in your hands?”

“I...”

Blanca was getting even more anxious, her palms were full of cold sweat.

She was not stupid - she could feel Mr. Butler’s questioning and hostility coming toward her. But she wasn’t sure why Mr. Butler would react this way, and the unknown worried her.

“Miss Blanca, I am not sure what means you have used to marry Matthew. His persona seems distant but he is sincere to others. I hope you don’t deceive him by any means.” After a while, Mr. Butler put the pendant back on Blanca’s hand, “This pendant is indeed the same as the one I made, but it is not it. Because the one I made is now on my granddaughter Malinda Roach.”

Hearing what Mr. Butler said, Blanca had her mouth open, completely speechless.

Her hands were trembling.
