Daniel wondered if Brad's physical condition had rendered him unable to act on his desires, which would explain why he did nothing with Jean. He knew better than anyone how deeply Brad admired her.

In his youth, his thoughts were consumed by desire whenever he was with the girl he loved. Given Brad's reputation for self-control, Daniel found it hard to believe he could maintain it under these circumstances.

Daniel examined Brad's appearance closely. The fact that he was still wearing the same clothes from the previous day indicated he was indeed unwell.

Brad was known for his meticulousness about cleanliness. Otherwise, he would have changed out of his clothes, rather than merely unfastening a few buttons on his shirt. It was evident that he had collapsed into bed without bothering to change.

Brad eventually regained his composure under Daniel's intense gaze. However, his expression tightened when he saw Jean under the covers. He said plainly, "Dad, I swear I didn't touch her. I don't know why she's in my bed."

Brad was puzzled. He distinctly remembered hearing Nadine's voice last night and wondered how it could have been Jean.

Brad's own uncertainty grew as he pondered the situation.

Daniel's anger began to subside when he realized he might have misunderstood Brad. He took a moment to think things through and decided to approach the situation with greater calm.

He flung open the bedroom door and raised his voice. "Are you completely oblivious? How could you not notice someone else in your bed? When did Hamilton Estate's security become so lax that anyone can just walk in? Call the security team immediately. I need answers!"
