Travis had dutifully reported the news he found online to Adam. When Adam saw the signed divorce agreement Nadine had posted, he was so enraged that he started pacing back and forth in his ward.

Initially, he wanted to call Nadine to stop her from divorcing his grandson. However, after mulling it over, he realized Brad was the one at fault.

Hence, he took it out on Brad, giving him a piece of his mind and hurling every insult he could think of. Fortunately, Brad wasn't standing in front of him. Had he been there, Adam would probably have twisted his ear and beat him up.

He was yelling so loudly over the phone that it hurt Brad's ears. Brad hastily increased the distance between himself and his phone. With a frown, he wondered what he had done to deserve this.

First, Jean screwed him over. Then, his father chased him around with a feather duster, and now his grandfather was yelling at him. Brad felt like absolute crap, and his mood was at an all-time low.

Keeping his emotions in check, he asked Adam, "Are you done? If I'm a jerk, what does that make you? Nadine's the one who wanted the divorce—why don't you yell at her instead of taking it out on me? Don't pin this all on me. It's not fair!

"Nadine is the one who wants out, so I suggest you take it up with her! Stop blaming me for everything!"

His blood boiled at the mere thought of Nadine. He was extremely ill last night, yet she didn't give a damn and even escaped from the basement. He thought, "Since she doesn't care about me anymore, why should I take the brunt of Grandpa's anger for her?"

It took two to tango, so he wasn't solely to blame for the divorce. Setting aside the facts, Nadine also contributed to the breakdown of their relationship. She lived a perfectly good life, yet she had to go and mess it up. Brad had no idea what the hell was wrong with her.

After hearing that, Adam felt his blood rush to his head. He raised his voice and yelled into the phone, "Listen up, you little shit. If you can't get Nadine to forgive you, I'll disown you! I'll call a board meeting and kick you out of the company. Let's see who would still want you then, you insolent child!"
