Rebirth of The Vengeful Luna novel Chapter 74

Alice and Carina went to the dark forest, beside the dark river. They were careful enough to not show them in public and of course, used the scent vanishing drugs.

As they hide behind a huge tree, they saw Adrian coming over with his beta.

Alice immediately wanted to rush to him and kill that bustard, yet Carina stopped her.

"Not now, Alice."

Adrian and his beta too used the same scene vanishing drugs so they don't get caught.

"Alpha, shouldn't we hide?" His beta asked.

Adrian nodded. "Hmm, let's go."

However, the moment they turned to leave, Adrian groaned in pain. His eyes immediately went back and he gasped, "Alice...!":

His eyes widened in shock. He looked down and stared at the gun in her hand blankly. It's not just any random gun, but a silver gun that holds a silver bullet.

A werewolf would use two weapons only, Wolfsbane and a silver bullet. Alice used a silver bullet to kill him.

It happened so suddenly, that both he and his beta could not realise the situation at first.

Slowly, Adrian touched his back and when he brought his hand in front of his eyes, his eyes watered watching the blood.

"Alpha!" His beta moved toward him. "How dare you hurt Alpha!?" Beta growled and tried to shift and jump on Alice but he was shot too and flew to the other side, lying down.

Adrian only stared at the two women as Carina now came beside Alice. His eyes blinked for once and with unbelievable. "So, it was true, huh?" He smiled bitterly.

Alice smirked. "As true as our identities, my dear brother. You started this game but, I won't ever let you win." Saying, she holds the gun toward him again and shot another time at his chest.

Adrian stepped back from the force and finally, with his eyes wide open at Alice, he fell on the ground, lifeless.

Both Carina and Alice stood before two dead bodies, when,

'pat~pat~pat~' Clapping sounds came to their ears and they immediately turned to see and both gasped in shock and fear.

"Ch...Charlotte..." Carina mumbled and Charlotte smiled brightly.

Carina sneered bitterly. "Being an Alpha's daughter and now the Alpha King's mate, it's easier for you to say such a thing, Charlotte. You were born with a golden spoon and have your life wrapped in happiness even when you didn't have any wolf. And me? I was always low before you! Why!? Why can't I enjoy power too!? Why do both my father and mate have to be loyalists!? You will never understand my pain!"

"Pain?" Charlotte could not help but chuckle. "What you know, Carina? You don't know anything! Even though I was born with a golden spoon, I never enjoyed it in my life! My father kept me away from him. All of you hated and bullied me because I didn't have a wolf! My best friends betrayed me! And I lived a good life?" Charlotte shook her head in disbelief. "I really hope you could see the positive side of your life, Carina. I feel pity for you. I feel pity for both of you."

Alice was silent all this while and suddenly she laughed. "Pity for us, huh?" She laughed again. "Oh, sweet Charlotte. You are so innocent. Without feeling pity for us, you should pity yourself, sweetheart. Do you think, I will let you leave this place when all I want is to kill you?"

Charlotte smiled calmly. She recalled the day when she first get to know the real face of her so-called best friend. She would never forget that night when both Alice and Adrian killed her, throwing her into the pit of fire.

Since then, she knows their real motives. How could she not know that they won't try to achieve their goal finding her alone?

But, she is not a fool anymore. She has learned her lesson in the hardest way. She has lived death for once and she knows what it tastes like.

"Now what? Will kill me?" Charlotte took a step forward and chuckled. "Do you think I don't know what you want, Alice? You really think I came here alone?" She raised her brow and Alice felt a little alarmed.

She immediately raised the gun and pointed it to Charlotte. "What do you mean?"

Charlotte chuckled and turned to the side, when they heard, "She meant me..." A deep male tone sounded from the other side.
