Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 198

Finally, after repeated urging, Jenny managed to get herself out of bed.

After freshening up and having a light breakfast, Hayden pulled out his sophomore-year math books to start a study session with her. He believed that math was crucial and that mastering the basics in high school could give anyone a significant edge over their peers.

This time, Jenny didn't slack off. She listened attentively as Hayden explained the concepts, even taking careful notes like a model student.

An hour later, Hayden closed the book. "That's enough for now," he said, glancing at her. He was quite satisfied with her attitude this time.

"Sophomore math isn't that tough after all!" Jenny twirled her pen confidently, looking smug. Her bold demeanor made Hayden chuckle. She always managed to act older than she was.

"Hayden, it's time we head out for some fun!" Jenny exclaimed.

"Where should we go now?" Hayden asked.

"Can we go to the Stone River? I haven't been there in ages! I really want to go boating!" Jenny asked eagerly, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Sure." Hayden nodded, seeing it as a fitting reward for her effort.

The two set off shortly after.

Stonybrook was a sprawling, picturesque city that attracted visitors from all over. But what made it truly special was the Stone River, steeped in history and famous for inspiring countless poems and works of art over the centuries. The serene beauty of the river was a magnet for creatives from across the country.

Hayden and Jenny rented a small boat and spent the afternoon leisurely paddling along the river. Each ride cost about 20 dollars, depending on the boat size, but being a local, Hayden had scored a small discount, which was a common perk in the area.

Meanwhile, back in Hayden's neighborhood, Anna stood outside his house, pacing nervously.
