It was a life Jenny desired. She used to talk about this often with her classmates. However, such things only existed in fantasies.
Before Hayden could speak, Serena cut in. "What nonsense are you on about? These are ultimately your brother's properties. You'll have to give them to him eventually," she said sternly.
"Alright…" Having been scolded, Jenny could only lower her head in resignation.
"Mom, I have no use for so many apartments. I want you all to live comfortably. That's why I decided to put your names on the title.
"Besides, when Jenny gets married in the future, she'll be able to go wherever she wants. Isn't that great? Just treat it as… her wedding gift," Hayden explained with confidence and stroked Jenny's head again.
The tension in the room slowly dissipated.
"I'm still young. It's too soon to think about wedding gifts," Jenny said in embarrassment, blushing. Her eyes were misty.
Everyone laughed at her reaction.
"Alright. I'll keep them for you for now. When you want to use them, we'll take them out."
In the end, Serena agreed and nodded. She carefully put away the property deeds, in fear of damaging them. They were worth over 70 million dollars after all.
Soon, with much cheerful banter, they finished having dinner. The harmonious scene gratified Hayden.
Serena and James were especially thrilled. After all, Hayden had considered them his parents once again. For them, it was the most joyful thing they had experienced in the last three years.
