The following day, Hayden went to school and took out a study guide.
In the guide were key learning points for 12th grade. Once he finished reading, he would have to complete some worksheets. The only way to prepare for the SAT was to complete tons of practice questions.
Everyone had gotten used to Hayden's behavior, so they didn't pay him much attention.
It was evening when he finally finished reading through the key learning points. The high school curriculum was now entirely familiar to him. Starting from the next day, he would have to do numerous practice questions.
When he reached the school gate, he noticed Jenny was already waiting for him.
"Hayden, why are you always so slow? Were you doing something else?" Jenny ran her eyes over Hayden, thinking that he was somewhat strange. She believed he was hiding something from her.
"No. I just spent a few more minutes reading. I wasn't doing anything else," Hayden explained calmly.
"Hmph. I don't believe you. Perhaps you have started dating and were making out with your girlfriend?" Jenny revealed her shocking suspicion.
"This brat!" Hayden thought.
He frowned and sighed in exasperation. "Where did you learn to speak like that? We're at school. It's a place for learning. How could I possibly start dating?
"Don't bring up anything about a girlfriend again. That won't ever happen," he denied emphatically.
Jenny pouted. Though she didn't believe him, she didn't press further.
When the two were about to leave, a sports car approached them with speed. It stopped beside Hayden.
"You?" Hayden's face instantly turned icy and upset.
Beside him, Jenny simply grabbed his hand, unsure what was going on.
