Morgan secretly wished that Hayden would just leave.
Once he left for good, he'd have no chance to compete with him for the Sterling family's assets. Even Hayden's company could be taken over by using other means, eventually.
However, Hayden didn't pay any attention to Morgan.
Instead, he turned his head slightly and locked eyes with Francis again. It was as if they were engaged in a direct confrontation, his gaze fixed sharply on Francis's eyes, waiting for his response.
"Enough!" Francis gritted his teeth, his jaw clenched tightly. He glared at Hayden and growled, "What exactly do you want?"
For a moment, all eyes turned to Hayden, awaiting his answer.
"Simple. I want to cut ties completely. Don't come looking for me again, and I won't bother with you either. Have some dignity, alright?" Hayden raised an eyebrow and smiled faintly.
But just as Francis hesitated, Charlotte and the others couldn't hold back anymore.
"No! You're my son—my own flesh and blood! How can I let you go? I gave birth to you. How can you just abandon me like this? I'm your mother! You're a part of me!" Tears streamed down Charlotte's face, uncontrollable and overwhelming.
She felt as though her heart was being torn apart as her entire being collapsed. If Hayden left, who could she rely on?
"You gave birth to me, but you didn't raise me. You don't deserve to be my mother! I've given you countless chances over the years I spent in the Sterling family, but you didn't cherish them.
