Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 61

Morgan still didn't give up the name, but he wiped his tears and tried to calm himself down.

"Don't be afraid, Morgan. I'll avenge you no matter who it is that bullies you!" Charlotte tried hard to control her emotions as she took a deep breath.

Charlotte's concern went beyond Morgan's physical health since she was worried about his mental well-being too. If this was a case of bullying, it could leave him scarred for life, and that was what scared her the most.

"If someone had dared to hurt you, I'll record a video and expose that jerk online! I'll make sure he never shows his face again!" Lily fumed and trembled with rage as she clenched onto her jaw tightly.

The atmosphere in the room grew more tense and suffocating as everyone awaited Morgan's response. At long last, Morgan sensed the perfect timing and slowly lifted his head.

He then took a deep breath and carefully said, "You don't need to worry. I'm fine. I just went to see Hayden today to cheer him on, but because the car was going a little too fast, he was splashed by all the rainwater that gathered on the roadside.

"He got mad afterward, so he shoved my face into the puddle. I almost drowned, but I know that I made a mistake, and that it was my fault for upsetting him. I'm okay now, so please don't worry about me anymore."

Morgan's version of the story, though heavily twisted, stirred the emotions of everyone in the Sterling family, pushing them to the brink of fury.

"That little punk! Hayden's nothing but a thug! How dare he treat my son like that! Does he have no respect or decency?" Francis roared with anger.

"He did that? How could he do this?" Charlotte murmured with disbelief written all over her face. Her impression of Hayden plummeted even further now.

"Damn it! I knew it had to be him! No one else would've done something so disgusting! That guy is despicable, and I swear I will make him pay!" Lily turned abruptly, ready to storm out and confront Hayden.

"Don't! Don't go after him! It was my fault, and I won't bother him anymore. There's no need for you to get involved." Morgan quickly shook his head and pretended to have already made peace with the situation.
