Chapter 170 Somewhat Dangerous
“How about we make a deal?” Madelyn asked.
“A deal?” Upon hearing that, Josiah furrowed his brows. “What deal? Let’s hear it.”
Madelyn cleared her throat before continuing, “Remember when I messed up your car last-”

“I can’t believe you have the nerve to bring that up!” Josiah interrupted, “I haven’t even settled that matter with you yet.”
When Madelyn thought of the car, she indeed felt a touch of
it in her heart.
With a playful grin, she added, “What if I told you I could provide you with a way to obtain car modification parts and even enhance it to perform better than it originally did? Would you be willing to accompany me for some shooting practice then?”
After speaking, Madelyn grinned with intrigue, thinking Josiah would definitely agree, seeing how much he loved cars.
Just as she expected, Josiah, somewhat tempted, asked, “Are you serious?”
“Of course,” Madelyn confirmed.
Without hesitation, Josiah agreed, “All right, it’s a you at the shooting range.”

After about ten minutes, the two met at the shooting
Then, Madelyn, without wasting words, began the training immediately.
Josiah’s talent in shooting wasn’t just all talk. Even with his eyes closed, he never missed a shot, hitting the mark every single time.
Madelyn watched in utter astonishment, hastily urging him to impart his unique, unparalleled skills.
Josiah didn’t keep it a secret and openly shared his insights on shooting with her.
Two hours later, they took a break.
Madelyn and Josiah were comfortably lounging on the couch, each holding a glass of orange juice, engaged in a light–hearted conversation.
Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed from nearby, “Madelyn?”
Upon hearing that, Madelyn turned around and caught sight of Janessa and Christopher. She promptly frowned, wondering why they had come. Wasn’t Christopher in a car accident? How is he fine already so quickly?
In reality, Christopher had just been discharged from the hospital, his arm still in a cast and slung around his neck. Having heard from Janessa that Madelyn had been frequenting that place lately, the two decided to come over and see what exactly Madelyn was up to.
At that moment, Janessa feigned surprise and warmly said, “Madelyn, what are you doing here? What a

Janessa was taken aback momentarily, then quickly retorted, “What else could it be? I’m here at a shooting range. Obviously, it means I want to learn how to shoot. Right, Christopher?”
Naturally, Christopher was very cooperative. “That’s right”
Then, Janessa noticed Josiah, who was at the side.
A flicker of surprise crossed her eyes. Wasn’t he the person Madelyn personally picked at the race course that day? Why is he sitting here with Madelyn right now? They even seem to have a friendly relationship. Had they been in touch after what happened at the race course? How unexpected.
As astonished as she was, she didn’t say anything about it. Instead, she pretended not to know who Josiah was and asked, “Madelyn, who is this? How come I’ve never seen him before?”
Madelyn chuckled lightly. “Isn’t it perfectly normal for you not to recognize my friend?”
Irritated, Janessa cursed Madelyn in her mind. What are you acting all haughty for? B*tch! Wait, I have an idea! Maybe this is a good thing. It’s clear Madelyn no longer cares about Christopher, so he’s useless now. However, Josiah seems to share a deep connection with Madelyn. Maybe I can try using him.
“That’s true. I can’t possibly know all of your friends, Madelyn.” At that moment, Janessa said with a charming smile, appearing to be understanding.
She paused before speaking again. “However, since we’ve all met, we’re friends now, aren’t we? How about we practice shooting together? What do you think, handsome?”
As Janessa spoke, she intentionally shot Josiah a friendly look.
In response, Josiah casually glanced at Janessa, not even bothering to acknowledge her.
Consequently, Janessa felt rather awkward. All she could do was to clear her throat slightly. “All right then. It seems Madelyn’s friend is a bit introverted.”
Then, she turned to Madelyn. “How about this, Madelyn? Why don’t you teach me? My skills aren’t that great. Shall we practice together?”
What? Upon hearing those words, Madelyn couldn’t help but furrow her brows. I remember she practiced shooting abroad in my previous life and was quite proficient at it. Back then, I was even shot by her and almost lost my life. I can’t believe she’s now pretending not to know how to shoot. Hilarious. Fine, since I’m still holding grudges from my previous life, I won’t turn her away if she wants to deliver herself to me on a silver platter.
Hence, she smiled. “Come on, Janessa, isn’t it boring to just train together? Standing here just shooting is simply too dull. How about we do something more interesting?”
