At this point, Madelyn had already made a frantic escape, her strength severely depleted.

Yet, the young men behind were as pumped up as ever and chased after her swiftly.

In no time at all, they seized Madelyn and grabbed her by her four limbs,

“Who are you guys? Let me go!” She immediately put up a struggle.

“It doesn’t matter who we are. All you need to know is that you’ve crossed someone you shouldn’t have,” they responded icily.

Then, the group hoisted her up and shoved her into a black van parked by the roadside.

“Help! Save me!”

Madelyn screamed her lungs out inside the vehicle, not giving up her struggle for even a moment.

The men watched in exasperation.

Then, they stuffed a worn–out towel into her mouth and covered her head with a sack.

Two hours passed.

Madelyn had passed out at some point without realizing it. When she came to, she found herself bound tightly to a chair, unable to move a muscle.

She cussed under her breath before scanning her surroundings.

She was now somewhere incredibly spacious, but the building was in a state of disrepair. Dust was scattered everywhere, and the ceiling was adorned with bare scaffolding and rusty steel bars. Every corner was piled high with all sorts of scrap metal and broken copper pieces.

If her guess was correct, this place appeared to be an abandoned factory.

A few individuals clad in black were stationed next to her at that moment, keeping a close watch on her every move.

Two subordinates were even arranged to stand guard at the exit.

Madelyn couldn’t help but curse her bad luck.

At that moment, a distinct sound of footsteps echoed from the entrance.

She shot him an irritated glance right away. “I was just wondering who would ever stoop so low, and it turned out to be you. You’re despicable!”

“Precisely the one I’m speaking to right now,” the woman stated contemptuously.

Hayden nearly choked from the rage. Unable to hold back any longer, he stepped forward and slapped her across the face

“You dare hit me?” Madelyn reeled from the impact, her eyes widening in disbelief.

“What’s wrong with that? Have some guts to fight back!” Hayden roared with laughter.

Madelyn struggled while seething. If she weren’t tied up right now, she would have loved to slap him dead.

Yet, the man’s laughter only grew louder. “I won’t do that. So, what are you going to do about it? Go ahead and hit me!”

“Oh, I remember you were quite the show–off last time, weren’t you? I’d like to see you try that again now!” he added provocatively.

Seeing how shameless he was made Madelyn boil with resentment, and she spat on his face without a second thought.

“You think you’re so glorious, huh? But the truth is a loser like you is only capable of such shameful deeds. That’s why Josiah’s always been ten thousand times better than you! In fact, it’s unbelievable that you’re actually a soldier. To me, you’re nothing but a piece of useless, unworthy trash!”

Without a doubt, Hayden was livid.

He wiped the spit off his face. “You’re calling me a piece of trash? Josiah is ten thousand times better than me? Fine, then! I can’t wait to see how he plans to save you today!”

With that, he gave his subordinate a knowing look.

Immediately, alarm bells started ringing in Madelyn’s heart.

Back at Elite Club, Josiah had just arrived in a panic.

upset.

It was at that moment a few individuals clad in black trailed behind her, following her up to the doorstep.

Madelyn appeared to have sensed something unusual and took off running, but the men behind her promptly gave chase.

Wesley was initially somewhat tipsy, but upon seeing this footage, he snapped to attention, completely sobering up.
