Chapter 347 Death Wish
AVhat was written on it?” Grimo and Adelar immediately became intrigued.
Sebastian slowly unfolded the note, only to find a few lines of Uprian scrawled clumsily across it
Fortunately, the trio had been living abroad for a long time and was proficient enough in Uprian to understand.

The note read: You guys can stop searching. The girl has already settled in at the headquarters and she’s not in any immediate danger. The boss has given orders that when the time comes, she will be sent back safely. Please rest assured.
The trio’s hearts sank after they read the message.
A week had passed, and Madelyn was on the verge of losing her mind.
On the surface, it appeared she was free to roam within the base, but in reality, Phantom was constantly keeping an eye on her. He was everywhere no matter where she went, pestering her and constantly haunting her like a ghost.
Whenever she returned to her room, the maid would be there watching her.
Annoyed, she almost went crazy.
One day, she finally lost it and didn’t bother running away upon seeing Phantom again. Instead, she marched right up to him and yelled in frustration, “Phantom, can’t you stop following me around? It’s so annoying!”
Phantom shrugged. “Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not following you around because I want to. There are many restricted areas within this base, filled with numerous traps. I’m just worried that you might accidentally wander into a place you shouldn’t and end up in pieces. If anything were to happen to you, Boss would surely blame me.”
“You!” Madelyn was speechless.
She then said in annoyance, “Hmph, don’t think I’m clueless. I know very well that you’re all guarding against me. I really don’t get it. If you’re all wary of me then why did you bring me here? If I’m not mistaken, this must be Oceanic Empire’s headquarters, right? Aren’t you afraid that I might secretly bring someone here now that I know the location?”
to get here
Phantom chuckled. “Why should we be afraid? This place is so hidden that you won’t be able even if you want to. Besides, you have no idea about the flight route. Apart from us, no one could either bring you in or get you out.”
Madelyn immediately gritted her teeth, her anger intensifying-
Yet, not knowing what to say, she found a stone bench nearby and sat there alone, stewing in her own. frustrations.
Phantom found her amusing. This woman’s actually quite entertaining.
He then took a seat next to her, inquiring, “Have you recalled anything about the matter Morgana asked you to?”

“Really?” Phanton was suprised.

Madelyn nodded. “Why would I lie to you? Every day, n racking my brain trying to come up with something so I can get out of here once and for all.”
“Looks like you’re really eager to leave, huh?” Phantom huckled.
Madelyn’s eyes widened. “Oh my God, who could possibly stand to stay in a place like this? Can you?”
“I can.” Phantom remained smiling but soon sympathized with himself, for he had spent over a decade in this place.
However, that thought was fleeting.
He said. “Since you’ve thought of something, I’ll take you to meet Morgana.”
Madelyn nodded, showing no objections.
Following that, the two once again ventured into the same dark tunnel they had visited before. At the end of the tunnel, they found Morgana in the room.
“What did you recall?” Morgana asked as soon as she saw Madelyn.
The latter nodded. “I’ve recalled something, but before I share it with you, I have a condition.”
A condition
Morgana couldn’t help laughing, her metallic voice echoing. “You’ve got quite the nerve to negotiate terms
with me.”
Madelyn didn’t back down. “I don’t care anymore. Worst case scenario, I’ll just die. But if you refuse my request, I can’t share the information I’ve obtained.”
This statement was essentially a threat. Phantom was alarmed. Does this woman have a death wish?
Morgana’s lips twitched.
It had been years since anyone had dared to threaten me. Did the seriously just risk her life threatening me? How interesting! Very well. I might as well find out what are her conditions.
Tell me then, what is your condition?” Morgana asked with keen interest.
– Madelyn answered. “I can give you some information to help you find the culprit. However, you must let
me go immediately after that. You can’t force me to stay or threaten me. Of course, if anything else comes to mind later, I’ll be sure to let you know. However, I can’t stay here any longer, as I need to go to school. Plus, my family would be worried about me.”
Her underlying message was clear–as soon as she provided the information, she must be allowed to leave.
Morgana hadn’t expected this girl to be so stubborn.
However, that didn’t seem like such a difficult request.
After giving it some thought, Morgana agreed, “I can let you go, but if your information is incorrect, I can bring you back at any time and your life will be at stake.
