Chapter 387 Do You Find It Fun To Deceive Me
Finished
After the drinks arrived, Eunice wasted no time in guzzling them down with reckless abandon, the harsh. liquor scorching her throat as she drank without a hint of hesitation.
Despite the intensity of the alcohol, she seemed utterly unaffected, consuming it as effortlessly as if it were mere water, embodying the distress of a soul deep in the throes of despair
Around her, the bar staff whispered to each other in hushed tones, exchanging looks of disbelief. “Has that woman completely lost her senses?”
“Can you believe it? Coming in here drenched to the bone, looking for a drink–talk about bad luck.”
“Exactly!”
“What are you all doing? Stop prying into the guests‘ personal matters!” At that moment, the manager’s booming voice cut through the murmurs, causing the staff to disperse promptly.
Despite the curious and sometimes judgmental eyes upon her, Eunice remained indifferent. Her heart was overwhelmed with a tidal wave of despair and seething hatred that dulled her senses to the outside world.
The bar, a place once filled with fond memories of times spent with Kieran, now seemed to twist the knife of betrayal deeper into her heart with every moment she lingered.
“Look at that, there’s a drowned rat over there,” someone commented from the second floor of the bar. drawing attention to Eunice’s miserable state.
Seated in the corridor above, Janessa and Hayden looked down at Eunice with a mix of amusement and
contempt.
“Tsk, tsk, if there’s anyone to blame, it’s this woman for being too naive. With her limited intelligence? She was practically begging to be exploited,” Hayden remarked with a sneer.
“Well, you’re not wrong. Look at her, pitifully soaked; I bet she was dumped by your car friend Kieran, wouldn’t you say?” Janessa covered her mouth, giggling softly.
“That woman was bound to meet this end. How could she ever match up to Kieran? I once thought I could use her to my advantage, but that turned out to be as effective as drawing water with a sieve. If I were Kieran, I would have gotten rid her long ago,” Hayden continued, shaking his head dismissively, while Janessa nearly choked with laughter.
Then, as if a thought suddenly struck her, Janessa’s expression grew more serious. “Perhaps,” she mused. “there’s still one last way we can use this woman”
“Oh?” Hayden looked puzzled. “And how might that be?”
A cunning smile played at the corners of Janessa’s lips. “Just wait and see.
With that, Janessa stood briskly and made her way down the stairs toward Eunice. “Hey, is that you, Eunice? What in the world happened to you?” she asked with feigned concern as she approached.
“Why would you leave your house without an umbrella, getting yourself all soaked? Wouldn’t people laugh at you if they saw you like this?” she teased.

this together!”

“Huh? What are you talking about?” Janessa feigned innocence. “Eunice, I’m just worried about you,”
“Worried about me?” Eunice scoffed derisively. “None of you are saints! Each one of you treats me like a toy! Do you think I can’t see through your schemes? Now that I’m of no use to you, your true nature shows, shoving me aside like trash! You, Hayden, even Kieran, none of you are decent people!
Hearing these words, Janessa couldn’t help but laugh inwardly. I never pretended we were saints, it’s your oten naivety, yet here you are, causing a scene!
However, outwardly, Janessa softened her expression, adopting a nurturing tone as she sat beside Eunice, attempting to soothe her. “Eunice, I still don’t know exactly what’s transpired. Tell me about it. If I’m at fault, then blame me, okay?”
As these thoughts and memories flooded her mind, Eunice broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. The image of what she had witnessed earlier at the hotel surfaced vividly in her mind. “Kieran…. H–He dumped me. What did I do wrong? He promised he’d love me forever. He lied… he lied to me…”
In the midst of her tears, Eunice’s voice broke as the raw pain of betrayal overwhelmed her.
Janessa couldn’t help but chuckle quietly to herself. Just as I thought, Kieran dumped this woman. Well, it makes sense. After all, which man would want to spend his entire life with a fool? He was just sweet–talking her and she actually believed him. What a pitiful woman!
Of course, Janessa kept these thoughts to herself.
Outwardly, she maintained a gentle facade. “Eunice, if you’re projecting your anger onto me over this, then I’d be wrongly accused indeed.”
“You’re wrongly accused?” Eunice looked at Janessa through tear–filled eyes, accusatory and pained. “Aren’t you and Kieran in this together?”
“Of course not,” Janessa responded loudly, trying to distance herself from any blame.
She continued, attempting to reason with Eunice, “This entire situation is due to Kieran’s heartless betrayal You can’t blame me for his actions. Besides, I’m a woman too I totally understand how you feel, and that’s why I came over to comfort you,”
“Oh, really?” Eunice retorted skeptically.
Then, after a moment’s pause, she demanded, “Then why don’t you explain why Kieran suddenly treated me this way? What did I lack?”
“I agreed to give him half of my company’s shares, I truly wanted to spend my life with him. But why did he deceive me like this? Does he find joy in deceiving me? Was it amusing to him?” As Eunice spoke, her voice grew louder with each question
As the old saying goes, “The depth of one’s hatred for someone often reflects the intensity of their previous love for them.”
The reason why Eunice was so distraught by the situation was due to the profound love she harbored for
