After Janessa leit, Madelyn stayed behind at the university to attend two more classes.

After all, she needed to make up for her credit hours, so she took these two classes particularly seriously. This unexpectedly made her lecturer reevaluate her, wondering if she had turned over a new leaf.
After finishing her class, Madelyn packed up her belongings, intending to visit Sebastian at his office.
She thought about how they would share a meal and return home together.
For reasons unknown, even the thought of such trivial matters brought an unusual sweetness to Madelyn’s heart. No wonder some people say being with the one you love makes every day feel like Talentine’s Day.
Unexpectedly, just as she was gleefully stepping out of the university gate, a person suddenly appeared, blocking her path.
“Madelyn, where are you going?” The person who had just arrived was none other than Christopher.
That day. Christopher was dressed in a black designer jacket, and he was adorned was neat and somewhat fashionable, embodying the style of a refined gentleman.

If it were any other girl, seeing Christopher would likely have made her heart flutter uncontrollably.
Regrettably, Madelyn had already become utterly indifferent toward him.
Upon seeing Christopher, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of repulsion. Thus, she asked him coldly, “Christopher, what do you want from me?”
“Madelyn, is that the tone you should use to talk to me?” Christopher frowned, not expecting Madelyn to start off with such
an attitude.
This attitude irked him a bit.
“So, how do you expect me to react? You suddenly appear out of nowhere, giving me a fright, and I haven’t even complained about it yet, Madelyn responded in an annoyed tone.
“You!” Christopher was infuriated.
However, after giving it some thought, he decided to hold his tongue. I shouldn’t argue with this crazy women.
Then, in a tone that left no room for argument, he said, “Madelyn, have dinner with me tonight.”
Upon hearing those words, Madelyn showed a face of disdain and scoffed coldly. “Hah! I don’t have time.”
After she had spoken, Madelyn bypassed Christopher and continued walking straight ahead.
This action instantly left Christopher feeling dissatisfied. What’s going on with this woman? In the past, Madelyn used to follow o me around every day, seemingly unable to bear being away from me even for a moment. However, note that I’ve humbled myself and come looking for her. She seems to be acting aloof and distam.
At that thought, Christopher suddenly whipped his head around, gripped Madelyn’s arm tightly, and yanked her back with force. “Madelyn, what on earth is going on with you?”
Madelyn made a feeble attempt to resist, trying to pull her hand away. However, Christopher’s grip was too strong, making it impossible for her to break free.
Left with no other choice, she had to ask directly. “What’s going on? Christopher, please explain yourself.”
Madelyn’s attitude only served to increase Christopher’s annoyance.
He then said in a cold and detached tone, “Didn’t you used to cling to me all the time before? What’s this? Are you ignoring me now? Are you trying to play hard to get? Sorry, but I’m not a fan of such
games.”
Upon hearing those words, Madelyn suddenly let out a cold laugh, finding this person to be utterly narcissistic.

Upon seeing her expression, Christopher was slightly taken aback. She appears incredibly resolute mot, seemingly not being melodramatic or rejecting out of a calculated strategy to play hard to get. It seems like the truly wants me to let go of her.
A wave of uncertainty suddenly swept over Christopher’s heart. I dearly remember that Janessa once confided in me that Madelyn’i feelings for me had escalated to the brink of insanity! Houver, that don’t seem to be the case note.
At that moment, Madelyn was clearly growing impatient and began to struggle. “Christopher, let go of me! If you keep holding onto me like this, Ill yell and say you’re sexually assaulting me!”
At that moment. Madelyn was completely oblivious to the fact that not far away, a brand–new black Maserati was parked.
The person in the car watched everything with a detached gaze, taking it all in.
Sutting in the front seat, Malcolm observed the scene unfold. He could distinctly feel a chill emanating from the backseat.
In his heart, he couldn’t help but silently mourn for Madelyn. Mrs. Lockhart, I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard this saying, but if you play with fire, you will get burned. Were those few days of peace and tranquility just a facade all along? She’s fooling around with another man in broad daylight. Isn’t this blatantly making a fool out of Mr. Lockhart? One thing a man despises the most is being cheated on!
Upon this thought, Malcolm dared not even breathe. In his heart, he silently wished Madelyn all the luck she could get
At that moment, the person in the backseat spoke up, coldly commanding. “Drive”
“Yes!” Malcolm didn’t dare to delay, immediately stepping on the gas.
“Let go!” After a long struggle. Madelyn mustered up all her strength and finally managed to break free from Christopher.
Then, with a hint of impatience, she turned to Christopher and said, “Christopher, you didn’t like me, did you? You used to despise me as well, didn’t you? So, if you don’t have anything important to say, would you mind keeping your distance from me in the future?”
After she finished speaking, Madelyn walked away without looking back.
This woman actually dares to treat me like this! Upon recalling the earlier scene, Christopher couldn’t help but furrow his brows, a hint of ferocity flashing in his eyes. What an unscrupulous woman! Does she really think I’m smitten with her?
Following that, Christopher proceeded to call Janessa.
Once the call connected, he immediately grumbled, “Madelyn doesn’t want to have dinner with me. She left.”
Upon hearing this, Janessa found it somewhat unbelievable. “What?”
She then couldn’t help but frown. Could it be that even Christopher’s influence on Madelyn is now ineffective?
Reflecting on it. Janessa felt deeply that Madelyn had been acting really strange lately.
