After parting ways with Madelyn, Sebastian, as agreed, went to have a drink with Wesley.

Seeing that he had calmed down a bit, Wesley handed back the drink to him.

Upon reaching Lockhart Villa, Madelyn glanced at the wall clock and felt a pang of disappointment. He probably won’t be coming back tonight.

She then went upstairs to take a bath.

She slipped into the bathtub, the surface of the water brimming with bubbles.

Bored, Madelyn picked up a handful of bubbles and blew them away with a puff. She felt an inexplicable emptiness in her heart.

After taking a bath, she wrapped herself in a towel and settled down on the couch.

The memory of Sebastian blow–drying her glossy black hair in this very place flooded back, intensifying her overwhelming sense of disappointment.
