“What are you looking at?”

Wesley noticed Sebastian staring intently at something, which puzzled him. So, he followed the latter’s gaze to see what Sebastian was looking at.

Upon laying eyes on Madelyn, Wesley immediately furrowed his brow, puzzled.

“It’s that girl again. What is she doing here?”

Sebastian remained silent.

Wesley then asked, “Could it be that she has followed you here?”

After speaking, he shook his head and murmured, “That’s not possible. When we left this morning, there was clearly no one following us.”

Sebastian remained silent. In reality, he was equally puzzled.

This combat training center was owned by Lockhart Group. It covered a wide range of activities, not limited to just kickboxing and gym facilities.

There were times when Sebastian would arrange to meet with clients there for work discussions.

That day, he had come with Wesley to discuss business. Unexpectedly, he ran into Madelyn.

Wesley gave a slight nod, promptly calling over the manager, Louis Reynolds.

Louis was in his forties, dressed sharply in a suit, and looked presentable.

Upon seeing the two of them, he was fearful that he was about to be reprimanded.

“Boss, you wanted to see me? Is there something I can do for you?”

Wesley pointed toward Madelyn and ordered Louis, “Can you go and see what that woman is up to?”

“Right away.”

Louis immediately complied.

In a short while, he was seen descending the stairs, making his way toward Madelyn.

“What’s going on here?”

The receptionist explained, “Mr. Reynolds, this lady wanted to learn martial arts, so I was just about to introduce her to a coach.”

Unexpectedly, upon hearing these words, Madelyn retorted, “What do you mean by that? Who ever said that girls can’t learn martial arts?”

“No, no, you’ve misunderstood. That’s not what I meant. It’s just that it’s rare for females to come to our combat training center wanting to learn martial arts. Besides, you look rather delicate, so I was just a bit surprised, that’s all.”

Louis immediately apologized, “In that case, I won’t bother you any further.”

After speaking, he turned around and went back upstairs to report the situation.

“What’s going on down there?” Wesley asked curiously.

Louis answered truthfully, “The young lady mentioned that she wants to learn martial arts…

“What did you say?”

Upon hearing this, Wesley was utterly astonished.

Louis repeated, “You heard me right. She has expressed her desire to learn martial arts.”

Wesley let out a chuckle, his disbelief palpable. “What on earth is going on? Martial arts? Has she lost her mind? With her frail physique, isn’t she just asking for trouble by doing so?”

Upon hearing this, Sebastian furrowed his brows calmly, appearing somewhat thoughtful.

Why is she martial arts out of the blue? Could it be that she has experienced some kind of shock?

Wesley turned to Sebastian and said, “Sebastian, do you think she might be planning to resort to violence since no amount of persuasion could get you to divorce her?”

Sebastian was rendered speechless by the comment.

Even though he didn’t understand why Madelyn decided to learn martial arts, he had no objections to her decision.

He then instructed Louis in a chilly tone, “Since she wants to learn martial arts, get her the best coaches.”

Without a moment’s delay, Louis promptly nodded. “Yes! I will certainly arrange the best for her!”

Meanwhile, Madelyn was still being looked down upon by the female coach.

“You seem so delicate yet are surprisingly brave. Unfortunately, martial arts really isn’t for you. It’s best to give it up sooner rather than later.”
