Reckless Marriage Unyielding Love novel Chapter 134

Sweet laughter echoed throughout the Ludwig mansion. Natasha put her hands on Carlos' shoulders as he carried her inside. Even the housekeepers, who were used to such scenes, smiled along with Natasha.

After carrying her into the living room in his arms, Carlos said indifferently, "It's time to get down."

Natasha obediently nodded. "I'll always listen to what you say, Carlos."

Myla, who was in charge of Natasha's care, pushed the wheelchair over, and Carlos carefully placed Natasha in it.

"I'm going upstairs to change my clothes," Carlos said to Mikayla, his expression not looking particularly good.

Mikayla had no idea what had happened that made Carlos need to change his clothes again. After all, he had just changed not long ago.

She watched Carlos' figure as he went upstairs. Before she knew it, Natasha had already wheeled herself in front of her. "Mikayla."

"Yes?" Mikayla responded.

"Mikayla, when Carlos carried you like that in front of everyone yesterday, did you feel very happy?" Natasha's gaze was pure and clear, appearing innocent and kind. In actuality, her question was actually extremely well-phrased.

Nonetheless, Mikayla wasn't a fool. Natasha always gave off an extremely obedient impression, but her words were always subtly provocative. If one was not careful, they would definitely not be able to see through her intentions. It was at that point that Mikayla realized why Deidre had called Natasha a pretentious woman previously.

Just then, Selena, who had stepped out earlier, heard voices in the living room and returned. When she noticed Natasha's sweat on her face, she quickly grabbed a handkerchief to wipe it away while gently chiding her. "Playing around with your brother again? Carlos rarely comes back, and Mikayla is here too. You can't behave like you did in the past anymore," Selena advised.

Natasha laughed and said, "Mikayla won't mind. Besides, isn't it perfectly normal for my brother to kiss and hug me?"

Selena glanced at Mikayla, who was sitting on the couch, and subtly signaled her daughter to stop saying such things. After all, no matter how close siblings were, discussing such topics in front of Mikayla after Carlos and her marriage was inappropriate.

"A good relationship between brother and sister makes me envious. But, Natasha, you're already in your mid twenties. Perhaps you should avoid being too close to Carlos. Otherwise, I might get jealous." Mikayla spoke calmly. She also deliberately laughed as she spoke. Her words appeared lighthearted, but they hinted at the possibility that she would become jealous.

Actually, Mikayla shouldn't have said such words in front of the Ludwig family. At the very least, she should have gone along with Natasha's words and graciously said it was fine. However, if Natasha continued to use her feelings for Carlos as a provocation, there was no reason for Mikayla to remain silent.

"Selena, you understand, don't you? After all, Carlos and I are newlyweds, and we're deeply in love," Mikayla said, blushing.

Natasha's expression changed slightly. She hadn't expected Mikayla to be so clever in her retort, even involving Selena in the response. "Mikayla, I'm so sorry! I assumed that even after Carlos got married, our relationship would remain unchanged." Natasha continued to play the innocent and slightly aggrieved sister.

Selena was taken aback by her words. "Natasha doesn't understand the boundaries between men and women in these matters. Mikayla, please don't mind her."

Mikayla was speechless. It seemed that Natasha was determined to play the role of the weak and pitiful.

"What's going on?" Carlos asked, coming downstairs after changing his clothes. He appeared refreshed, indicating that he had taken a shower.

"Nothing. Natasha just asked me if I would be envious of your relationship with her." Mikayla smiled.

Carlos strode over to her and asked, "Would you be?"
