“I have something else to attend to, so I won’t keep you,” Carlos and coldly, clearly dismissing Hugo without a second thought. 

The next moment. Mikayla felt a sudden warmth in her cold palm, and before she could react, Carlos had gently but firmly. taken her hand and led her away. 

Standing on the lush green lawn, Carlos turned to Mikayla and held her hand, looking concerned. “Why are your hands so cold 

“It’s like this every winter. It’ll be time in spring.” Mikayla replied. She was used to it after years of seeing doctors and trying treatments that didn’t help. But feeling Carlos’s intense eyes on her in such a public setting, she blushedd 

Carlos tightened his grip on her delicate hand, looking deeply into her eyes. “From now on, I’ll be by your side every winter. When you’re with me, you don’t have to worry about what others think.” 

Mikayla’s heart swelled with satisfaction. She never thought she’d find herself drawn to another man so quickly after her last relationship. But Carlos’s charm was impossible to resist. 

Unbeknownst to them, multiple cameras were discreetly capturing their every move, while a pair of malevolent eyes. watched them intently. 

As Garrett departed, only Hugo and Jaxon remained.

“Dad. I’m sorry!” Jaxon said, bowing his head. He knew he had let her father down–made mistakes at such a critical 

moment. 

Looking at Jaxon, who was closest to him and always listened to him, Hugo didn’t feel any resentment. He waved his hand. and said, “Whatever, things are how they are. Winona is also a good option. But annexing Salvatore Group will be a challenging task.” 

“Yeah,” Jaxon replied, his eyes still fixed on the other side. The sight made him jealous, and a fierce look flashed in his eyes. 

“Carlos might have feelings for Mikayla. Hugo noticed the scene too. He could see the complications that could arise if Carlos and Mikayla got together.
