Chapter 28 

Juliet lifted her head, her eyes glassy, her checks flushing from being drunk. 

“W–Who are you?” Juliet stammered before letting out a loud burp. She frowned, clearly uncomfortable with the smell of alcohol in the air. 

A look of disgust flashed through Elvis‘ cold and aloof face when the pungent smell hit him. 

“I–It’s you… mumbled Juliet, stopping mid–sentence as a thought struck her. She raised a finger to his chin and asked, “You’re the escort I asked for, right?” 

At the word “escort, Elvis’s eyes turned colder, but Juliet didn’t notice. She turned away, muttering. “The top male escort? Not so special.” 

Elvis stared at the delirious woman, wishing he could be anywhere but here. Unfortunately, he had orders from Carlos and. had to get things done. Women are really troublesome creatures! grumbled Elvis inwardly. 

“Come sit by me. Haven’t you been trained on how to serve a lady?” Juliet called out. Seeing him just standing there, she tried to grab his hand. Elvis pulled away, barely letting her graze his fingers. 

‘Serve?‘ Ivis’s eyes were icy as he looked at her. 

“Why are your hands so cold? Aren’t men’s hands supposed to be warm? You… Could it be that you are not a man?” Juliet looked at her fingers under the dim orange glow, chuckling. She casually tied up her light brown hair, took off her fashionable fox fur coat, and struck a pose she thought was seductive. 

Elvis watched Juliet acting like an idiot as she carried on a conversation by herself 

“You’re more experienced than me. What should I do next?” asked Juliet. Despite being drunk, she remembered why she’d come–to spend her first night with Septem Nightclub’s top male escort. She had decided after thinking it over for days. 

‘Is my virginity the reason Brantley rejected me all these years? Would he want me if he knew I wasn’t so upright?’ Her thoughts were all over the place as she slapped her forehead and wondered. Tve really drunk too much. Wait, what happens next, like in the porn I watched? 

Joshua was laughing one moment and seemed about to cry the next. Elvis’s eyes narrowed slightly as he watched her. He didn’t understand women and had no desire to.. 

Elvis stood there silently, like a block of wood, unwilling to take any initiative. The drunken Juliet didn’t care about it at all. She stood on her tiptoes, ready to kiss him, thinking to herself. This is as far as I’m willing to go… The next second, she felt pain in the back of her neck and fainted, 

Today was Mikayla’s second day at the company. She had asked Quinnlyn yesterday to inform the people she had picked out to bring their materials over and report to the marketing department today. 

Although the marketing department was divided into Teams A and B, since it occupied two office spaces before, now, Team A and B each had their own office space and worked on their own stuff separately. 

Mikayla took a glance and noticed that everyone was present except for Maxius, “All right! Let’s start with self–introductions before I assign you your roles.” 

There, some people were happy to be transferred to this temporary team, feeling proud that Mikayla had noticed their skills. Others were worried, thinking that working in such a team meant starting from scratch. 

“Hi, I’m Patricia from the PR department.” Patricia Lockwood cheerfully introduced herself first.
