Juliet didn’t want Mikayla to be concerned about it, so she briefly explained that Xavier had beaten Huxley up and advised her to be mentally prepared in advance. She could sense that Mikayla was going to get worried. After all, Logan’s family wasn’t easy to deal with. “Nothing” Mikayla regained her composure from her daze and unfastened her seatbelt before opening the door, stating, “I’ll go in first” 

Noticing her averting her gaze, Carlos swiftly removed his seatbelt and got out of the car before her. He approached her, tugged her arms, and pulled her into his arms 

As Mikayla looked at Carlos up close, she noticed that the contours of his face were deep and clear. Every part of his face reflected his maturity and restraint. Slowly, she said, “Carlos, it was Huxley who Xavier beat up” 

He was enamored with her attractive facial features, particularly her thick red lips, and he smiled softly and assured her. “You have me.” 

His words caused Mikayla’s heart rate to soar. 

Carlos gently lifted her chin and lightly brushed her delicate lips, then kissed her deeply. Their 

eir lips intertwined, delivering some warmth and a taste of tobacco. Such intimacy, combined with a familiar scent, overwhelmed her nose. She instinctively responded to his kiss, and her heartbeat accelerated. He stroked her waist through the clothes. Under the dark sky, they were intimate with one another, creating a romantic atmosphere. 

They stopped kissing and slowly regained their breath. There was passion in their eyes. His eyes, unlike hers, appeared dark and mysterious, making it difficult to see through. “Mika, I’ll be back the day after tomorrow,” he rasped. He didn’t want to tell her that he was leaving, and just told her the time he would be back. 

He noticed the sadness in her eyes and kissed her again. It was different than from the one just now, and was clearly more passionate. He, too, was very reluctant to leave. Unconsciously, he tightened his grip around her. He wanted to have her entirely. He kissed her harder, holding her hand and placing it on his chest. She felt his strong heartbeat on her palm through the clothing. “Mika. I love you,” he confessed. 

Placing his forehead on hers and holding her flushed face, he noticed her lips had turned an appealing cherry red, and her gaze was lost and innocent. He couldn’t help but fall in love with her appealing looks now, 

Mikayla responded, seeing herself reflected in his eyes, I’ll wait for you” 

Meanwhile, Logan and Mildred rushed to the hospital after receiving a phone call. On the way, Mildred felt at a loss and contacted Winona 

When Winona got the call, she was taking prenatal education for her unborn child while listening to soft music. After she learned Huxley had been taken to the hospital, she immediately changed her clothes and called Jaxon, who was having dinner outside, before rushing to People’s Hospital in
