I knew I should not be having thoughts of kissing a wolf who rejected me at an heartbeat, but I just could not hold back. 

I no longer had control of myself. I wanted my lips on his and his hand all over my body. 

“Can I?” He asked again in a whisper, our lips almost touching 

‘No, Seraph’s voice was weak. Alpha Atlas’s presence repulsed her now and I did not blame her one bit. He rejected us after all. What gave him the right to ask for a kiss? And, I blamed my stupid heart. I could not say no to him and I knew what the next word I would say was no. 

“Uncle, I forgot to ask if you and my mom would take sweats too.” 

I quickly moved away froin Alpha Atlas, but I was too late. Emma saw us. She smiled. “I like how close you became when I was away.”

My face turned bed red in embarrassment. “What do you mean by we getting close?” I asked, feigning annoyance, but Emma smiled. 

Alpha Atlas was watching and scratching the back of his head the whole time. “Have you bought the sweets you wanted to buy?” He asked Emma like he did not just hear what she said. 

Emma shook her head. “I did not buy anything. I wanted to ask what you and something for the both of you.” 

Alpha Atlas beamed. “Get us whatever you want to. We will accept it.” 

“Okay, I will.” Emma smiled back at him and I frowned.

I was annoyed at how much close they were becoming in a short time and at how a man who had called me a nobody could have kissed me a while ago if we were not interrupted. 

Without thinking through it, I walked up to Emma, took the money Alpha Atlas gave her and gave it back to him. “I will get sweets for Emma myself,” I said and then I looked at the door. “Alpha Atlas, I’m pretty sure you have important things to do. I think you should leave now.” 

“Mom-” 

“Emma, you don’t have a say in this things. You’re just six. You won’t understand.” 

“A while ago, I thought we-” 

“A while ago, we nothing,” I chipped in and I looked away. “Alpha, please leave. If you remain here for a long time, your pack members will think that I am stopping you from doing your job as the Alpha. Please leave, before more people see you here.” 

“But we almost 

“Well, thank goodness nothing happened. Now, I want you to leave my place.” 

“I came to ask for your forgiveness.” 

“If you want me to forgive you, leave and never return,” I said. I had a feeling that he will keep on coming, but I never wanted to see his face again. He rejected me, so what else did he want from me? Was he planning on having his cake after eating it? 

Was he planning to make me warm his bed.

“That is a hard request,” Atlas pointed out and I frowned.

How on earth is it hard? Apart from the past few days, the Alpha and I don’t talk. I was sure he had no idea that I existed. I wanted things to go back that way. 

“Then, I can’t forgive you,” I said curtly and Alpha Atlas frowned. “Anytime I see you, I will recall all the mean things you have said to me. For my good, I don’t want to see your face again. If you can help me by excusing yourself from my life, then I will forgive you and forget about you.” 

Alpha Atlas had a poker face on, so I could not figure out what he was thinking. Without saying any words to me, he left. I was not expecting him to leave that easily. He was the Alpha after all and I had just asked him to leave curtly. 

That night, I could barely sleep. I wondered if I was wrong for sending him away the way I did. But can anybody blame me? He made me feel less than myself. 

Did he not call me a nobody? He told his parents that I was nothing and not fit to be a Luna. Well, he was not wrong? I was not a delusional person, so I knew my stand in this pack. I knew who I was. I was not a princess and the choice of everybody.
