Chapter 89
Dezmond Collins. The man who has pushed me away, put me through hell, shattered my heart and has never cared, or even actually legitimately talked to me.
Am I dreaming?
3rd Person POV.
He walked in, his mind was still racing with the morning. He had given her exactly what she wanted. He took a chance, he opened up to her, even if it was just a small bit, it was more than he had ever opened up to anyone. And he surprised himself by enjoying it. She was adorable. Her little facial expressions changed, she was so easily entertained and convinced. So innocent.
He clenched his jaw at the thought. She was still so innocent. So untainted by the hatred of the world. He wanted to keep her that way, he knew keeping her happy was now a necessity. And it was easily done this morning, when he just told her a simple story, she was glowing with happiness and laughter. She was such a happy person, despite everything she had been through. He could still hear her absolutely adorable giggle ringing in his ears.
The doctor turned around expecting a normal patient, but froze and raised an eyebrow at his visitor. The alpha. He nodded his head respectfully.
“Alpha” he said motioning to a chair, the alpha took a seat and he took his as well behind his desk. His mind seemed to be running, but his usual hard stare was directed at him. He shifted uncomfortably clearing his throat under the scrutiny of such a hard stare.
“Everything okay with your Luna?” he questioned, nothing was obviously wrong with him, and he did have the pleasure of being the Luna’s doctor.
He nodded, his mind seemed to be elsewhere. He looked up “She wants a baby” he stated.
James froze. He frowned, and he started thinking over all the possibilities, all the odds and they were terrible. He knew at some point they would need to reproduce, an alpha had to take over the pack, but he hoped it wouldn’t be this soon, he didn’t want to be the one to tell either of his alphas.
“Okay…” he answered carefully taking in a deep breath.
“How dangerous would that be?” he asked irritation in his voice, he winced slightly.
“Very” he replied. Very dangerous was the mildest he could put it. The luna was the smallest female he had ever cared for. She was tiny, not outrageously, but for an alpha mate she was extremely small, almost to the alarming point. And mating would be very dangerous for a normal sized alpha with her.

Chapter 89,
But his Alpha was a different story… His alpha was larger than most alphas, which also meant he was faster, and most importantly stronger. A ton stronger. He could kill her, it was too dangerous to commit such an intimate act with these too variables. Baby or not.
“What should I do?” he asked.
“Alpha, she’s… small to say the least… you could seriously hurt her” he said.
“I know that” he replied in a clipped tone.
“How much self–control do you think you have?”
“Not enough, I leave bruises on her when I’m…” he sighed pulling at his hair “when I’m in complete control” his tone was lower now and he looked up they met eyes. He looked vulnerable.
“As her doctor, I’m supposed to keep her healthy. I would strongly advise against it” James told him
firmly.
“Give me odds” Dezmond almost pleaded. He didn’t want to tell her, he wanted to make her happy.
