Resurrecting the Genius Within
Chapter 242 Arm Dealer’s Base
The group arrived at the arms dealer’s base.
Lowe cleared out a villa next to their central camp for them and said, “I’ll leave; you have a good rest.”
After arranging everything, Lowe left the villa.
Returning to the camp, Lowe saw Seth standing at the door, his stern face expressionless, but there was eagerness in his eyes.
As soon as Lowe approached, Seth asked, “Where’s Mr. George?”
Lowe replied, “Mr. George is with his friends. You probably won’t see him today.”
Seth’s disappointment was evident. He then asked. “Do they need anything? I can bring it to them.”
Lowe waved him off and said, “No, they’re fine. Maybe you can bring them breakfast tomorrow?”
Seth took this seriously.
Lowe quickly added, “Do you think it’s appropriate for you to deliver breakfast? Being overly attentive might make people think we have ulterior motives. Let’s not make things complicated for Mr. George.”
Around eleven at night, George emerged from his room.
Whether it was due to poor soundproofing or someone else in the room was on alert, the door across from him also opened.
Yves stood in the doorway, fully dressed, clearly not planning to sleep. He had a relaxed demeanor and hostile eyes as he glared at George.
What was this? Was he being guarded against?
All four of them stayed on the second floor. Yves’s room was next to Isabelle, and George’s neighbor was Jim.
“What are you looking at?” Yves asked coldly.
George didn’t bother responding and headed downstairs. After a couple of steps, he couldn’t help but offer a suggestion to Yves.
“I noticed a lot of dogs in their camp. Perhaps Mr. Yves should borrow one from them?”
It was a roundabout insult.
Yves strode out of his room, throwing a punch at George. The two were about to start fighting again.
The next second, Isabelle’s door opened.
Yves immediately stopped. He adjusted his messy hair as if nothing had happened and asked Isabelle, “Why aren’t you asleep yet, sweetheart?”
George told Isabelle, “I can’t sleep. Going for a walk. After that, he walked out of the villa.

Isabelle leaned against the door, looking at Yves.
Yves dropped his smile and argued, “Sweetheart, I’m sorry, but George insulted me first.”
Isabelle stepped out of her room.
Yves asked, “Where are you going?”
Isabelle replied, “Out. Don’t follow me.”
Isabelle made her way to the drug lord’s hideout again.
She had memorized the layout.
Isabelle moved freely, not bothering to waste time finding someone. She went straight to the room she had stayed in with George.
The fruit plate on the table had been replaced with fresh grapes.
Isabelle sat down, eating as she waited.
Soon, footsteps approached.
When Isabelle heard the footsteps, she concealed her presence.
The footsteps stopped outside the door.
The door opened.
The person entering didn’t notice Isabelle. He closed the door and turned on the light. When he turned around, he saw a girl sitting at the tea table, eating leisurely.
“It’s you.
The man recognized the Ardon girl, guessing she was the one causing trouble in the Warners‘ territory recently. She was also the one who had infiltrated their base the previous night, even entering his room.
Isabelle looked up and squinted slightly. When she recognized his face, she smiled in satisfaction.
She finally found him.
The man was one of Dark Shadow’s operatives. His rank was behind the shadow team–nothing more than a mid–level assassin.
Isabelle said, “So, you’re Spadille.”
The man’s eyes narrowed as he asked, “Who are you?”
Isabelle replied, “Someone is going to kill you.”
The moon hung high in the sky.
The maze–like building was suddenly filled with commotion. They were still sealing off exits, but the intruder had already disappeared.

Isabelle left the way she arrived.
As she walked, she saw a figure in the shadows ahead.
“George?”
Seeing her, George immediately walked over.
