Chapter 327 Unveiling Truth
The counsellor asked, “Who handed this to you?”
Joshua looked back at the counsellor.
“The teacher trusts you,” the counselor continued, “but actions speak louder than words in these situations, don’t they? If the class monitor lost something valuable, wouldn’t you want to hel
Joshua stayed quiet.
The class monitor said, “Why won’t you share who gave it to you?”
The conversation among everyone grew more intense.
“Surely, a guy as good–looking as him wouldn’t steal, would he?”
ease their worry?”
“Don’t judge a book by its cover. Things went missing from our dorm a few days ago, and they’re still nowhere to be found.”
“I saw on the forum that he’s pretty close with Isabelle, always hanging out with her. His family can’t be that poor if he’s buying a computer, can they?”
“But didn’t he only start hanging out with Isabelle recently?”
“Someone on the forum said they were his high school classmate and mentioned his family’s tough situation. They claimed he often skipped class to get into fights, ending up with new injuries on top of old ones. They even said his head was still bandaged just the other day.”
Isabelle squeezed through the door, announcing, “I gifted him
s computer.”
Instantly, the classmates began discussing fervently, speculating about their
lationship.
Joshua observed Isabelle’s approach while the class monitor, whether out of disbelief or a desire to avoid public embarrassment, blushed but refrained from arguing loudly with Isabelle.
“If you gifted it to him, why didn’t he mention it earlier?”
Isabelle extended her hand, swiveling the computer and deftly operating it with one hand on the keyboard. She inquired, “Wasn’t the classroom under surveillance?”
Several classmates eagerly said to Isabelle, “The surveillance isn’t active.”
Isabelle retrieved the electronic invoice from the computer and presented it to everyone, prominently displaying her name.
The class monitor remained skeptical, questioning, “How can you prove the authenticity of this invoice? How do you demonstrate that this invoice corresponds to this computer?”
Isabelle avoided getting into a debate; instead, she flipped the computer back around.
“Give me your Microsoft account for this computer,” she insisted.
The class monitor replied, “No point. I’ve got a firewall on my computer, set up with the help of an online

A classmate asked, “Don’t you have your account signed in on your phone?”
The class monitor’s expression soured. “No, that’s a whole other story.”

The classmate was at a loss for words. “Where did you find someone who’s such a novice at hacking, lacking professionalism, and daring to label themselves a hacker?”
Isabelle repeated sternly, “The account.”
Reluctantly, the class monitor provided her with the account details.
With one hand on the keyboard, Isabelle typed lines of code, which appeared on the screen. The classmates gathered behind Isabelle, curiosity piqued, to observe.
The classmates outside the door couldn’t resist their curiosity when they overheard the ongoing exclamations, so they joined in.
“I can’t handle this. It’s beyond what we’ve learned!”
“Aren’t we supposed to be studying the same thing?”
“Did the teacher skip over this?”
“Whoa, this is amazing! I can’t even wrap my head around it.”
“The speed at which she’s going, it’s like watching an octopus. I’m blown away.”
Isabelle’s lightning–fast pace left everyone in awe. The firewall supposedly set up by the class monitor’s hacker proved futile against Isabelle’s skills. Before anyone could fully comprehend, the location and map popped up on the screen.
“Found it already? That’s amazing! I didn’t catch any of it. How did you manage that?”
Isabelle glanced at the shifting location, her eyebrows arching ever so slightly in surprise.
“Why is the location so close, right outside the door?”
“Did Isabelle mess up?”
“What’s going on in your class? It sounds so lively.” A boy entered, holding a computer.
The computer resembled the one Isabelle had given to Joshua.
The class monitor glanced at it and exclaimed, “Why do you have my computer?”
The boy returned the computer to the class monitor, saying, “I borrowed it to do my tasks. I sent you a message, didn’t you see it?”
Retrieving his computer, the class monitor muttered a curse quietly, feeling a rush of anger toward the boy.
Confused, the boy questioned, “What’s the matter?”
“Oh, what a mess. Joshua can’t catch a break. Just because his family doesn’t have much, he’s being accused of stealing”
