Isabelle’s mood instantly lifted when she called out his name. 

Hearing his name, George turned around to find Isabelle approaching him with swift steps. 

She reached him in just a couple of strides and then grabbed his tie, pulling it down.

George was caught off guard, unsure of what she was up to. Before he could react, the girl’s fair face came. close, and her soft lips met his. 

George’s eyes widened in surprise as he looked into her calm gaze. 

The sight was too much to handle. Sitting in the car, Dylan’s eyes bulged out, nearly screaming in shock. 

The leader of the Blackwaters just kissed the leader of the God’s Armament Alliance! 

Right in front of me! 

Dylan’s mind exploded with a loud “bang.” 

In his excitement, he accidentally honked the horn. 

He jumped back in fear, feeling like he was losing it. 

Oh no! 

Those two heartless guys wouldn’t make me vanish without a trace, would they? 

Their quick and fleeting kiss was followed by an abrupt separation. 

Their lips barely grazed each other. 

Isabelle turned and headed into the villa. 

George stood there, dumbfounded, taking a while to snap out of it 

Not only was he shocked, but even Dylan was taken aback and scared. 

Dylan couldn’t believe that the usually proactive and shameless Mr. George ended up being the one caught off guard in the end! 

Is this a role–reversal? Or not? 

This was just something the boss of the Blackwaters was capable of. 

She stayed silent until the moment was right, then surprised everyone. The more Dylan thought about it, the more he realised there was nothing unusual about it. 

Miss Jenkins was so powerful and domineering. She should be the one calling the shots over Mr. George. taking control of the Harris family in the future.

Watching George return as if nothing had happened, Dylan suppressed his initial shock. He was excited to the point of bursting. Even if George were to punish him for honking the horn earlier, it wouldn’t affect his current mood. 

Mr. George has finally made it, finally gaining recognition! 

After thirty years, someone finally kissed those lips! 

What a cause for celebration! 

Too bad there weren’t any fireworks in the car. Otherwise, he would have set off a couple. It’s like he was thousands of times happier than getting a girlfriend himself. 

On the way back, Dylan’s eyes weren’t focused on the road. He kept staring at the rearview mirror. 

In the mirror, all he could see was a man with a slightly tense but handsome face, showing no signs of any unusual expression except for those vacant eyes exposing his inner thoughts. 

Mr. George, if you feel like laughing just go for it–no need to hold it in Dylan had been holding on to that thought for way too long. 

The two of them stayed tense the whole way. 

They stayed silent throughout the entire journey. Dylan glanced at George, who remained oddly calm the whole time. He started to wonder if the guy was just too shocked to react. It was weird. 

The car pulled back into the Harris Residence and stopped at George’s place. 

George opened the car door, stepped out with long strides, climbed the steps, raised his hand to cover his chest, and entered the villa. 

Seeing his gesture of covering his chest, Dylan had a mixed expression. Did Mr. George zone out the whole ride? He was so calm, it must have been an act! 

This reaction… Even though it’s over the top, it’s totally genuine! 

Tonight’s going to be an all–nighter. 

Tomorrow, I’ll check out Mr. George’s eye bags to see just how excited he was tonight. 

The next morning, Dylan eagerly checked the results. 

And boy, did they deliver. 

Seeing those dark circles under George’s eyes, Dylan replayed every sad moment in his life. It took everything he had not to burst out laughing. 

A few days later, the exam papers were handed out. 

Joshua scored an 82, a major improvement. 

He stared at the exam paper, his face looking thinner, without a hint of joy. 

Isabelle said to him, “If things get really bad, I can get you some sleeping pills.”
