It’s been two weeks with no sign of him.

Their relationship was tense and seemed to hit a standstill–sudden, yet somehow not too hard to accept.
Jim pointed out their mismatch in age and personality, which might explain things.
Meanwhile, Joshua visited Jim’s office twice.
Jim noted that Joshua struggles to open up; not everyone can easily show their wounds, which slows his treatment progress,
However, Ethan observed a positive shift in Joshua’s attitude. He became more talkative and even cracked a few smiles.
Sometimes, he also would play ball with Cuatro and feed him.
Joshua seemed less worn out than before–signs of some progress.
In his office, Jim tried again to help Joshua open up.
He held a pen, crossed his legs, and casually doodled in his notebook as he asked Joshua in a conversational tone, “Do you have feelings for Isabelle?”
Joshua admitted, “Yes.”
Jim observed, “I can see that. Your condition’s improved, even though I haven’t done much yet.”
Surprisingly, Joshua asked, “I recall you being a lawyer.”
Jim looked up from his doodles, “It seems you’re quite fond of Isabelle. I gave a lecture at Taragon University last year, and you just started there this year. Did you dig up old news to learn more about her?”
Joshua just stared at him silently.
Jim declared, “I’m qualified as both a lawyer and a psychologist. I’ve got the credentials; I’m not just playing around. This hospital actually belongs to a friend of mine; I’m simply using it. My study in psychology was aimed at understanding my adversaries in court better, not at becoming a medical professional.”
He paused his doodling, tore off the sketch, and passed it to Joshua.
Joshua looked at the drawing, which depicted two young boys chasing butterflies, radiating innocence.
He asked, “Is this one of your therapy methods?”
Jim chuckled. “You’re thinking too much into it. It was just a sketch.”
He shifted focus, “Now, let’s discuss Isabelle.
Joshua said he wanted to delve deeper into understanding her.
Jim nodded. “What exactly would you like to know?

After a thoughtful sip of water, Joshua’s gaze firmed as he inquired. “How long have you known Isabelle?”
Jim reminisced warmly. “It’s been under two years. We met during a peculiar lawsuit in Norward City, We hit it off almost right away.”
“Right away?” queried Joshua.
Jim explained, “Well, Isabelle’s been especially kind to you due to a mutual friend of ours.”
Joshua slightly nodded. “So your strong connection with Isabelle also involves this mutual friend?”
Jim nodded.
Joshua noted. “Clearly, this friend means a lot to her.”
Jim agreed once more.
Bringing up something he read, Joshua mentioned, “I read that Isabelle is also closely associated with a silver–haired mixed–race man.”
With
a playful nudge, Jim asked, “Feeling a bit jealous, are you?”
Changing the subject, Jim noted, “Isabelle and George didn’t end on the best terms because he was overly controlling.
Jim continued, “Above all, Isabelle prizes her freedom. If you’re thinking of pursuing her, Joshua, try not to repeat George’s mistakes.”
Joshua acknowledged, “Understood.”
Jim advised, “Joshua, don’t consider that man a rival; he’s just naturally charismatic.
Joshua then asked, “Could you share more about her?”
“I’ve gotten to know Isabelle well, but I was actually closer to her late friend,” Jim replied.
“She must have been as remarkable and impressive as Isabelle,” Joshua commented.
