The interrogators started trickling out of the room, looking defeated. It was clear they weren't going to get anything useful today.
Outside the police station, Jonah was already waiting in his car.
When he saw Odie and Sophie stepping out, he walked over and said, "Boss, got the plane tickets sorted."
"Great."
Just before getting in, Odie turned to Jonah and added, "I'll have an answer for you in three days. And don't forget about our bet."
With that, Odie hopped into the car. Sophie couldn't help but shake her head. Who still clings to such an unfair deal?
Suddenly, her phone buzzed. It was Jenna calling. Sophie answered, and before she could say a word, Jenna's voice burst through, "Check the news! Check the news! Check the news!"
Jenna's excitement piqued Sophie's curiosity, so she opened her news app. The top trending story was about Reeves International Media.
Clicking on the headline, Sophie saw a gallery of stunning actors and idols, including the latest girl and boy bands making waves both domestically and abroad. They were all signed with Reeves International Media.
Sophie's mind flashed back to what Adler had said when she first got back to Devonport about a slew of new male and female artists taking the scene by storm, almost rivaling Reece in his prime.
Especially since Julian had stepped down to take over Yun Corporation, these artists' rise had been meteoric, almost as if they were ready to revolutionize the entertainment industry.
All these artists... under Reeves International Media?
"Sophie, you need to get back to the office, now! She's declaring war on you!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
