Sophie was already in her wedding gown, and the stylist and makeup artist beside her couldn't help but gasp in awe.
"Ma'am, you look absolutely breathtaking in this dress," one said.
"Forget the red carpet stars; none of them hold a candle to your beauty," the other chimed in.
Sophie blushed, feeling a bit shy from all the attention.
Reece, standing nearby, added, "That gown, it suits you perfectly."
"Thank you," Sophie replied softly.
Reece glanced outside at the brightening sky and smiled. "It's getting late. I'd like to play the role of your family today and walk you down the aisle."
There was no one left in the Russell family to do so.
Sophie looked at Reece, who had been the rock of the company through thick and thin, her best partner in every venture. "These past years, you’ve been more than family to me."
Reece smiled warmly. "I was just being modest. If you had refused to let me walk you down the aisle, I would've been really upset."
Just then, Jenna, standing by the window, shouted excitedly, "They're here! Colby and Adler have arrived! Quick, block the door!"
Sophie looked puzzled. "Block the door?"
Jenna started directing the stylist and makeup artist to barricade the door, then quickly pulled Sophie to sit on the bed. Sophie, still trying to figure out what was going on, asked, "Why?"
Jenna explained, "I saw it on TV. When the groom comes to get the bride, the bridesmaids have to block the door! It's like a fun challenge, and I've got it all figured out. We won't have any problems!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
